This is just a place for me to store some notes and ideas for the story I'm going to write. I'm still in the planning phase, so for now it'll just be stuff like character bios and some basic plot summaries. Wish me luck?

Honestly, I don't know where to begin. Tokyo is enormous, and I don't really know many of its famous landmarks. I think I'll just start you all out in a heavily fortified mini-mart in the center of the city. You can either "arrive" or say that you were already there in your introduction. Then you can go on to the basic survival part of the game. The zombies appropriately don't like sunlight, so during the day you will be going out to scavenge supplies, look for weapons, create additional safehouses, search for other survivors, fortify defenses, eat, sleep, chat, and whatever else you feel like doing.

Just remember that the zombies don't simply vanish during the day. They merely head indoors and underground, so there's always a chance that you'll run into some when you're out looking around. And of course at night they come out in force, roaming the streets and actively looking for Survivors to attack. If you're outside at night you can expect to have quite the fight on your hands. Your best bet would be to battle your way to shelter as quickly as possible. If you're already "safely" indoors the zombies will still be assaulting your safehouse, so you will have to fend them off, lest they find a way to break in.

The level of personal freedom is very high. There are way too many players for me to post individual actions and reactions anyway, so I'm giving you a good deal of leeway in what you want to happen to you and how you deal with it. I'm going to try to run this similar to how Quel runs the CC. No real "story" though. Only the ones you write for yourselves.

Anyway, just to start you off, you will begin in an impenetrable minimart in the Sumida-Ku area. There is a sporting goods store exactly .5 miles to the South of your minimart, the abandoned remains of a military convoy a few blocks to the Northeast, a shopping mall right across the street, a subway entrance right around the corner to the Southwest, and a large apartment complex, from which gunshots could be heard the night prior, just a few streets over to the East. If you want to make up some other location, go ahead. Just try not to create conflicting events and locations.

I'm just testing the waters here and seeing how you all feel. I still really like Haven, its backstory, characters, everything, but having you players split between three different worlds, and then split again into even smaller groups (some of you still completely on your own) is proving itself to be more strenuous than I would like. And ultimately it is you players who suffer, since I have to sort of herd you along blindly.

So, I was thinking of putting Haven on hold (not immediately, but once everyone has reached a nice stopping point) while I make some adjustments to how it works and whatnot. Might have to sorta kinda start over again for Pt.2, but you will be able to keep your characters if you want.

Anyway, even if I were to put Haven on the back-burner for a while I wouldn't leave you all hanging. I had an idea for a zombie survival game a few months ago, and have fleshed out (badum tsh) the concept a good deal more since then. I think I could easily make an RPG out of it which would be both more fun for you guys and easier to manage for me than Haven currently is.

So the choice is yours. I don't want to feel like I'm pressuring you in any way, but at the same time I really, personally, don't like the direction I'm going in with Haven at the moment, and wish to change it. Take a mulligan on it, basically. Thoughts, suggestions, constructive criticisms, etc. always welcome.
