It's literally a game of keep away from her and fight each other.

I love the Lance and know its basics from MHTri, but now Lances have been nerfed and new stuff has been added to it. I wanna know some ways to maximize speed, but at an affordable cost. (Yes, I am aware of the Evade and Guard Lancer types, I'm not sure which one befits me most yet, how can I decide?) I am only HR6, so go easy.
