(26 May 2013 - 07:13 AM)I want to try ADD meds, just to see if I get an improvement. If not, then I will quit it and dismiss it as laziness or something else.
(26 May 2013 - 07:11 AM)Some nights I lock myself in my room in order to read silently, and I do read my book, but nothing stays and I forget everything I read. So recently I have been making lists, and I make my teachers stay with me after school in order to actually pay attention to do my work. They constantly have to breath down my neck in order to get shit done. I am going on 18, I should be past that stage of my life, and it worries me.
(26 May 2013 - 07:08 AM)I think Hatter has a point. Constant bombardment of content through media, especially rapid and short content, seems like it's reducing attention spans. This can be combated by training yourself to focus. I'm not saying it's simple or easy, but it can be done, without meds.
(26 May 2013 - 07:03 AM)It's not just school, but anything. I find my self distracted when playing games. It's not that I am lazy (which I can be), I mean at times I can read an entire chapter and not know what I read.
