Well, I've been playing for a while now, and I've upgraded as far as I could. When I go to the felyne by my storage box, she has no other upgrade choices in her shop. I've got lvl 2 guild, max mining, max farm, max bug, max fishing, etc.

However, it seems like my Ranch is still at lvl 1... with only one Popo there. I've got just the Ranch master and some female felyne named Milk there. And only ONE popo.

Was there a quest I was supposed to do? Or a felyne I'm supposed to buy from granny?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

You have to deliver Kopopo （コポポ） and/or Hina　（ヒナ） do get more Popo and/or chicken on your farm.
You obtain Kopopo from small Popo and Hina from veeeeeeery small chicken you get to meet at quests.
IIRC you can upgrade it afterwards.

Are there any particular quests which give more chances to bump into a hina? I've done the quests that mention kopopo in the quest title, and on rare occasion I do bump into a kopopo... no luck with hinas yet though.

The quest for Hina has the kana ヒナ actually written on it. The limit is one, and in the quest it is a very small yellow chicklet which you may scare off by accident if you dont pay attention, take a trade airu with you on this hunt to make sure you do it safely. The limit on Popos seems to be 4 just do the quests with the コポポ kana on them to get these, sheer them to capture them dont attack both hina and kopopo.

Ahh yes >.<;; As I found out yesterday, apparently I didn't do enough quests to "unlock" the hina quests. I had only seen kopopo quests, so I did a few new quests and lo and behold... a hina quest popped. Now I feel kinda silly ;
