its an eye, and it just means that the monster spotted you

I can't see it as an eye unless my brightness on both MH, and the TV itself is on full. then caves look like the desert.

This applies to flying monsters:

If you shoot a monster in the air with a para shot at it's para stagger limit, it will fall down and squirm for a while before standing up and entering paralysis mode. This gives you like 30 seconds of pure melee damage to a stationary monster.

E.g. Los. Shoot with 3 para lvl 2 shots (when it is not exhausted otherwise it will para faster), then shoot the 4th shot when he is flying in the air.

Coincidentally, if you cut off the tail while it squirms on the floor, it will enter paralysis mode after that lol.

Pro advice stolen straight from my brother lol.

if you've killed a monster 50+ times, when you think it's ready to be captured it usually is.

if you're sleepbombing alatreon, you can roll through his roar without evade skills.

when fighting the ceadeus when it breaks the wall swim as fast as you can into area 3 and get to the dragonator as soon as the ceadeus enters area 3 the video will play and once it swims towards you activate the dragonator you should get a clear shot if its head is on the spike
now to upgrade to + god my yamato armor will be indestructable

or you can wait till it swims deeper (almost completely ignoring you). when it does that, go to the nator, he will move right in front of the nator for you. time it right and you can get his head. much easier and you can spend the time right after the intro wailing at the head/fur

you can use bounce bombs on gigginox if he stays on the ceiling for most of the match to get his ass down from there.

ok 2 things. Jhen can be thrown on his side more than just once in the second part of the quest. i know from experience. we knocked him over three times. lol, and some guy carved it all three times. Even though its only big fins.

Also, the skill speed gatherer will dramatically increase your carving speed. Although, it is a little different. With that skill, the standing carve is actually faster than the crouch carve. the crouch carve is slightly faster than the crouch carve without the skill but the standing carve is much faster than the crouch one with the skill. UBER fast carves that way. good for jhen and ala. not to mention when you wanna carve a monster before it disapears in dual quests.

^Basically what that says because even im a little confused lol. get speed gatherer and stand carve. fastest carve in game.

The first body slam in phase 1 of Jhen Mohran can be countered by the Dragonator. If he is binded/gonged/staggered enough, the dragonator will be ready again when it would normally be used, and be ready again deep into phase 2. That gives you 3 Dragonator oppertunities

4 Spirit Spamming LS > most others :P at the same time highly annoying if it's with randoms.

Anywho... did you know you can roll through most screams without Evade+? I've done it accidentally but never on purpose.
