To skip end movie and start movie with the wii remote, press -. (maybe this can be added to the skipping tips gouki?)
To open up more arena quests, you will have to complete the capture quests for certain monsters in the main game offline. When there are 3 arena slots left, you will have to complete the other arena quests to open up the rest.

In area 6: if you roll off the ledge instead of jumping, you will skip the landing animation as if you had felyne lander (this works for any ledge that does not take you to another area)
In area 7: instead of moving and crouching to enter the hole to area 6, roll just before so that you will pass through the hole quicker and be standing up as soon as you enter area 7.

Play quest offline or online to kill Altaroth bring only Poison smoke bombs and poison them, to carve them for Monster Fluids.
You may also want to note that killing an altaroth when their abdomen is swollen yeilds a chance at a monster fluid drop. Playing Free Hunt in the village you can find a few groups of altaroths who are foraging for mushroom. As long as you are there to cook meat and gather honey, you might as well pop a couple bloated bugs too.

Beside a player's name (under the health/sharpness/stamina bars), is the weapon. However, When the player is spotted by a large monster, a broken heart starts blinking where their weapons were.
