Frontier is kinda using MH2DOS engine. so all weapon moves and things are still similar to it only with tons of additions.

Gunnery skill works the same way it does in the PSP series.
Gunlances work the same way except they "refresh" faster after WF without the need of any skills.

Ah! also the "new" moves added to frontier are for HR500+ players

Most of us live in US too and we play this game, Japanese VPN ftw =]
The GL Wyvern Fire in Frontier only has about a 1 minute cooldown.

You mean controls with a keyboard or a controller? I would not know, but most of us use a controller (or with a USB connection to a ps2/3/xbox controller). You can make the controls like you have for the PS2 or the PSP.

Lies! Free VPN has been working again (both mobilefree and softether). That is why I've been playing this game again... =]

Edit: o_O! nevermind, after surfing their main site (softether) i finally found a download! rawr, i found 3.0 somehow but isnt that the version you have to pay for?

Mobilefree is faster than softether =]

To use: Open PacketIX VPN > Right click Mobilefree.jp > Click (O) to make it work
To turn the VPN off: Right click it again > Click (I) to turn it off

My friend reported saying that the Free VPNs now work again. Not exactly sure what the error you're getting is, but officially at least one of the Free VPNs work again.

O_o polan you need to get on ad hoc more often...its been months i think, we need to hunt again!

^ Waiting for the server to get the updates. Did you get a green text too? Or a purple one, or does it just get stuck in yellow?
What I would do is wait till the Yellow and the Green Update texts pops out, Disconnect the VPN to have a healthier connection, and wait till it updates to 100%. Of course you will need to turn the vpn back on to connect afterwards =]

its just stuck on yellow for about an hour now, disconnected VPN gonna see if that does anything, damn im so close to playing. cant wait, hope this works

edit: is there anywhere i can go to get the updates? this doesnt seem to be working

You either have to download the updates through the launcher or download a newer installation file with the updates in them already and re-install the game.

Although if you can't download these updates you're probably going to have to re-download a new installer each time anything changes on the game...
