I'm as polite as an ent on the phone: "Hello, XXXXX residence." It always makes me laugh that I'm the one forced to say that when all of the elders in my family only say: "Hello."

i once hung up on a telemarketer in mid-sales pitch. she called back angry and said never to do that again. lol

still i have never got a pesky call from those people again so all is good.

Flirtation. I come off as creepy when I genuinely like a person because I try not to make physical contact or use emotional appeal and instead just launch violent small talk and trivia at them. The girl I used to be-with-ish used to joke about it when I would be able to talk to her over Facebook or texts, but when it came to seeing her face I'd freak out. She'd go to touch my arm and I'd dodge or something. We watched Memoirs of a Geisha once and she said "Japan is so pretty." I just bombed "It's 73% mountainous as far as I know. We actually missed the Hiroshima target by several meters and hit a surgical clinic. Gold items are actually gold-plated using electrolysis." She laughed at me . Oddly enough when I just want to be friends with a girl I'm charming and witty. I don't understand...

Edit: Surprisingly that's something I can do in my sleep that nobody else I know can. When we have trivia night at the bar 'n' grill I tear the place up. Free meals, but forever alone.
