I;m not sure if I am over-thinking this, but It may be possible he is trying to trigger a war. A reason to wipe out the Muslims. It maybe be radical and seemly impossible or retarded, but I am taking this seriously. This guy may just be a small cover for something bigger.

The sudden push of this "burning Quran" event and doing it such as on purpose and it seems there is something more. I don't know what it is, but I hope is nothing or not something that is gonna screw this world.

Your concerns are actually well-based. Though perhaps a little extreme. And I agree, Azwraith, may nothing happen that can screw this world.

Well at least the dude called this off. This traces back to the Ground Zero Mosque. I think people are getting a little overboard on this. It's a mosque for us muslims to worship our God! Not a terrorist's idea of how to mock the families who lost loved ones in 9/11! Geez, this country gets stupider and stupider.......

I thought the topic title at a glance was "International Burn A Korean Day"

That's what I thought! And I was talking to my Korean coworker at that time!

Edit:WTF I hope their stupidity gets them killed and they burn themselves.

I like how the guy was burning them as a stance against extremist Islam.
Because being an extremist Christian is so the answer to that....

That ascii pic gets used to death on the WoW forums.
It's still amusing even though I've seen it so much though.

I felt it's use was a warranted as the guy who wanted to burn the Korans
fails so hard.

You say that this country keeps getting "stupider and stupider" but every time a comment like that pops up it just causes the intelligent portion of those observing to collectively hang their heads in disgust that you the only thing being propagated is the continual spear hurling of incredibly useless insults.

No, Fox, honestly, how could Muslims mean any offense to just building a Mosque? They're causing a huge ruckus over this and I don't get why.

Why not just turn it into a memorial park? I don't understand why it has to be a mosque.

Actually, it is not a mosque. Technically, it is a 13 story (last time I checked) Islamic community center that happens to have a floor dedicated to prayer.

Is this a bad idea? Yes. Unfortunately, his right to do so is guaranteed under the Constitution, similarly to how burning the American flag is also legal.

In response to Ashqul, the center's proximity to Ground Zero (two and a half blocks, I think) has caused many people to deem it as "insensitive" to the families of 9/11 victims. Even so, most believe that the planners can build it at the proposed site, but shouldn't for the above reason.

Well what happens or not as long as it doesn't lead to a war of extremists, I'm fine with the results if it's built or not
