Rath Soul U has good skills, but if I had to choose between Ear Plugs and Reload speed, I'd rather go with reload speed.... and stick with the Ceanataur U.

Why would getting used to Evade Dist. be a bad thing?
My other game using only great swords, I got used to focus - and thrived with it.

its like a crutch, you get so used to being with it, its hard going about without it. and focus is different as it can change how one plays and kills completely (with timing and everything), evade distance just gets you out of the way easier

The way I look at it, since the Silver Sol set has nothing horrible to gem out I get get full use out of those slots.

If I put 5 Celebrity jewels, that would give me Reckless Abandon +2. Along with Pierce Up and Attack up Small, sounds like a dream high rank set for me!!
(and my chaoshroom can stay in my chest and not get smashed on the field. )

I've killed two Silver Raths so far, but no rubies yet.

The best way I've gotten Rubies is by tail runs with a Carving Celebrity set.
I feel as I might have to "cheat" my bows-only run to take a long sword for those tail trips. >_<

...it takes about 15-20 minutes for me to cut off a silver rath tail with a bow. ....and it's a HUGE pain in the ass.
I could do it in probably 5 minutes with a long sword, without too much trouble.

Orrrrr you can play with someone who's a blademaster, get him/her to cut off the tail.. That way you'll still be doing a completely bows-only run.

But that's only if you're OC about it.
