I think it's unlikely to come out on disc. It's frequently updated, so that would be a bit pointless. What you're actually paying for is a premium account that lets you download, update, and play it. A purchase card would be more likely.

There has been talk of the game possibly going on Steam.

Played on Mop's Server for a bit, made a little house outside of the main town.

Here's an artist's impression of the mythical "Creeper".

Ugh. Creepers. Harmless if they don't notice you, though, and quite vulnerable to a bow. Personally, I hate skeletons more.

You hear bones rattle. Half your health disappears. You see a skeleton. You see three more behind it. You die.

Just a quick tour of MonthOLDpickle's server. I had to miss a few things like Ghostcat's underwater house.

Now imagine skeletons riding spiders. I've been lucky enough not to witness this horror yet. I also haven't seen a single slime yet, I'm less happy about that.

Slimes are weird. I happened upon a lava nest with them. Spent half an hour killing them, cause the big ones split into little ones when you kill them.

I'm ignoring the skeleder comment there, as the concept blew my mind for a second and I'd rather not have to pick it up again.

I just caved in and got this game. It's going to suck up so much of my work time :(

Anyway I'm just playing around on single player currently, figuring out the crafting recipes and stuff. Gonna build an awesome cliff house with waterfalls and all that nonsense when I find enough blocks.

You guys seen the Penny Arcade forum server? They've rebuilt Rapture from Bioshock 1/2, and Columbia from the new bioshock, all sorts of crazy things.

Well, I finally quaked and got it, even though I told myself "It's still in alpha! AVOID!"

...needless to say, I'm having loads of fun, even if I haven't a freaking clue what I'm doing sometimes XD
I never cared about justice and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!

It may be in Alpha, but the bugs are getting fixed all the time. It'll be in Beta soon, so be glad you bought it when you did. The price is going up.

Looks good so far. My only complaint right now is that sandstone looks very similar to dirt. Other than that, very well done. Can't wait to see what you decide to make the various swords/armor into :P
