I'm sure some of you that have put any serious time into the series have had some lol moments. Post them here!

I've got a couple just from my new game I started.

Yian-KutKu was limping away, and took flight.
I had a sonic bomb, and thought, "I wonder if this will work...."
I tossed it, and KutKu came crashing to the ground.

It just stood there perfectly still, with that slight (confused looking) head turn.

I giggled as I laid the shock trap for a successful capture.

Snowy mountains in the den part, a giaprey jumped onto that ledge (that has the egg gather spot).
I watched him do a few attacks and remain on the ledge while my cat was getting mauled by vespoids.
"No, I think he's stuck up there." I told myself.
I took one pot shot with my bow, and the giaprey who I thought was stuck on the ledge did a perfect pounce to me and I went flying.

My cat and 2 vespoids immediately came to my aid.
REER-REER-REEER!

It cracks me up every time I fight a Dioblos in the desert, he roars and a couple Cephalos pop out of the sand.
....The Cephalos then walk in place for a few seconds, and dive back into the sand.

I was hunting a rathalos to capture it. I got it limping and my loyal cat put him sleep at the perfect timing. Went to lay down a shock trap but it somehow was a little bit too far. So I kicked the rathalos to wake it up.

Annnnndd......

IT DIED!
I literally giggled in shock while carving...
One of the best moments of my game lol

I'm fighting a tigrex w/ my brother and two cousins in the snowy mountains, I enter the area (I'm the last one) and I see a tigrex charging right at me and get hit and shot back to the previous area

I played with a group in xlink kai a couple of days ago. They wanted to go on a Kirin hunt. I told them I'll skip that one since Kirin is such a pain in multiplayer. I hesitantly joined them after much pestering and urging. I then notice that 2 of them were using a pellet shot setup. Everyone knows how pellets spazz out melee hunters. I asked them not to use pellet shots, but they didn't care. They just went along with their business as if I they didn't see my message.

In response, I wore a Sneak setup and promptly spammed smoke bombs wherever the pellet shooters were. I reveled at the precision by which the White Ninja decimated those who sought to defile her majestic form.

One of them had the HP hack. We laughed as we were kicking it to death.

I did have one amusing attempt at G rank Final Invitation with a friend. We were both bowing (because neither of us had the IQ to figure out that it's a retarded idea as we'd only be taking turns getting headshots on it), and a couple of minutes in, he gets punched to death.

Naturally I'm a little annoyed, and more so because he couldn't be bothered farming for a Guts set. He spends about 30 seconds~ a minute prepping back up and combining coatings.

I'm fighting it as normal. It jumps back and starts doing the cannonball attack, which I promptly get the F- away from.

My friend comes out, Rajang lands straight on him. Second life gone.

I laughed. He facepalmed.

I also snigger whenever a prey dies in midair. It's just so random.

Only today i was farming for a monoblos heart and I was facing the regular one in the desert. it was a particularly large one so i focused mostly on the legs. but just as it came out of the ground i took a swipe to take its tail off. I managed to get it, but as he wheeled around recovering from losing a tail he stood up and just keeled over and died on me! i got its heart too that quest! epic lulz!

Are you talking when they split in half an disappear right away?


It's funny with something that happens with Hornetaurs vs. a light bow.

Shooting them, one arrow hits and they don't die, they do some surreal recoil animation in mid-air.
(definitely doesn't look like they're flying)

I guess its more weird than funny. ._.

I was debating on putting this in the rant thread as well.

I was fighting Daimyo in the desert and paralyzed him with my bow.
I was running up to him with my Barrel bomb, and right as I was setting it, a cat STOLE IT FROM ME!

My first thought was:
FLHI LKWEHF LS idhLHsie LKFH weHLKF HELF !!!

By the time I chased him down and got my bomb back, Daimyo was moving again.

The first time I fished out a Plessy, it died on the land so that made me lol. I was also doing a dual plessy quest and my cat finished off the Green one with a thwack to the head.

I was also fighting Akantor with a friend once (who was spectating), and it killed him with it's roar twice. Just as he was re-entering, it started to charge for me but instead hit him and killed him as he zoned in. I thought it was funny but he didn't find it amusing. :x

I know what you mean--I love it when a group of them start hopping around and manage to hit each other in mid-air so they both float in place. XD

Oh, has anyone ever knocked out a Basarios/Gravios? A friend and I were mining and gathering powderstones from the Volcano when he alerted the Basarios. I managed to KO it with my HH, and laughed as I was trying to hit it while it flailed on the ground producing a wind-effect. XD

I was farming a tiggy chief rank before with my fully upgraded G-RANK lava set cause it has art of unsheathing, I miss timed a hit and got charged, no biggy, only took like 10 or less health away, got up got charged again, another 10 health, got up got three rocks to the face, got up....stunned...charged....charged....stunned....rocks....spinning swipe attack...charge...bite...charge

i literally just held the psp not playing it just watching me get absolutely PWNED by a chief rank tiggy. i thought it was hilarious.


one lulz time was fighting a gyppy with LOTS of vespoids around, gyppy swung tail four vespoids flew in at once, i did /_\+0 attack and took all vespoids out and hit gyppy in the ass and he died, it was a fire weapon so it was epic and shiz but also, hitting the vespoids slows you right down and then they explode around you as i finished the quest. awesomes

I had a Khezu experience similar to that. It seemed once I got knocked down one time, I was getting up into another attack, 4 times in a row.
....except I didn't laugh one bit.

I was doing High Rank dual Gendrome on my HR4 character, equipped with low rank Gravios armor and Steel Ice Spear+

First drome went down without a hitch

2nd one...

I fought it, it retreated to the next area. I attack it a bit more and I get killed, eh that's not so bad, I can handle it. So after I get carted back to base, I head back to the area it's in. Before I can even unsheathe my lance it bites me and I get paralyzed, then it just stands there biting me over and over until I died again.

Then I come back with a vengeance aaaand...it dies on the first hit I land after getting to it.

I was laughing too hard to be pissed off, and on top of that I got the 2 Gendrome Skulls I needed for my Dark Lance

Haha, nice. Yeah I remember how hard those Gendromes were hitting me when I first did that quest. One leap would take out around a third of my health even with the Garuga set I had. That's also why I love (and hate) paralysis... I once paralyzed a Diablos after it got it's horns stuck, then a stray Cephalos decided to paralyze me with it's fin.

I was fighting a Monoblos today trying to get a Top-Grade horn. I held back on attacking it's horn and let it get stuck several times while I attacked it, then it retreated a few times. I noticed in the last area it was limping so I was like "Oh shoot, it's weak already? Get it's horn!!" I dodge it's tail whip, then suddenly a stray Cephalos slides past me from nowhere and knocks me away. I was like "Grr, I hate you Cephalos!" but at the same time it did it's own tail whip and broke the Monoblos' horn... "I love you, Cephalos!". XD
