Feeling a bit overwhelmed at HR7 trying to figure out what's the best armor I should get that would last me for a while.

Is there a list anywhere with recommended armor to acquire for each HR range?

Just trying to figure out a decent armor set to last me for a while and the amount of content lol. And really? I never even bothered to look at battle armor.

Okay sounds good. What should I go for at HR22 if I'm mainly using GS? Also, I can't seem to find any kelbi to get hides to upgrade the armor... they're only out during daytime, correct?

you could try making gogomoa armor hr3 lol, and maybe when you get to hr100 upgrade some parts to FX, so not a bad deal, but to keep upgrading it to F i think you need to be hr31.

I already made Battle so I'll stick with this >_> Can I not gem out bad skills anymore? I was playing KR version before and you could just make the gems, but in this one it looks like you need all these weird tickets.
BTW, about those kelbi now? lol

You can gem out the bad skill Gathering-1 if you wanted to (lol), but I'd just buy a set of Leather armor for gathering anyways if I were you.
Oh wow, Gogo armor isn't bad at all for early HRs, even better with gems.

How do I make gems? Do you HAVE to use tickets for it now?

It depends on what weapon you use, but if you lance, full Kushala Daora armor is fine to use until HR100. Getting it max upgraded for the slots is hard because you need Yama fluid (and who hunts Yama?), but it's easy enough to get 4 slots out of it.

You were looking at the wrong menu--those were Pugi skill cuffs, not gems. Gems are made in this game like in any of the other recent Monster Hunter games, you find the required items and you have the smith make them for you.

I guess this would depend on what you would consider best, u want skillz or defense? I went for defense at that rank. I used ioprey armor cuz u can make your defense up really high without getting super rare materials.

I couldn't find them at the blacksmith lol I guess I fail really bad. I'm getting on now so I'll look around.
EDIT: I'm coming up on HR22 really fast, what armor should I try making then? I'll make kusha for lance, but I mainly use GS.
