My art sucks but since I have all this technology at my fingertips I figured, why not use it?

So I made my first piece of "art" for youtube. Granted I suck and it is only a sketch and I did mostly to see if I could do it >.>

I will try my hand at this... But don't think it'll be anything good. I'll put in some time later if I can get my tablet working ♥
And Basu, sh'up! It's really good! I study art and I can't draw figures straight off with good proportions. Especially in the hands. And it's so easy to make the head too big, but yours it all good. Honest! Just do some airbrushing, maybe keep it B&W and you're all set for artistic stardom

Thank you for the encouragement. Coloring is not my forte as I have been drawing mainly with pencils and charcoals since I was small. Technology has given access to colors and I don't rightly know how to use them with much skill.

I made another video attempt (though I may not do that again as the file turned into 1 gig monster that I had to all sorts of tricks to to get it on youtube and then my Mac had a major head-burp doing that) Total time to draw and color 2 hours + another hour fiddling with iMovie (>,<)

I'd say you are right on track. I am no pro so I can't judge it too much. My only suggestion for the digital piece is perhaps to make a one point perspective on it. Or perhaps a golden ratio of the shot so the eye goes to a point you want to emphasize more than something else.

Your traditional is awesome. I have not picked up a real brush for coloring in over 2 years now >< Mostly because in Japan I just don't have the space for all the tools. Plus with a newborn even less time to actually keep up with those skills ><
