I think the vita release yesterday in Japan. February for westerner. No region lock. Is anyone bought one or plan to get one?

I will be getting one, just not at launch. I don't like buying launch consoles, and this is why. I'm not saying I'm going to wait for the theorized second version, just saying I'm going to wait for them to fix any bugs. Maybe a second manufacturing run.

Well see saving $300 or $350 is hard for a 15 year old and I really dont have a job and it is hard to get one in Georgia now a days.......Also it comes out on my bros birthday and my mom said he is not going to be able to get it because it was alot for a small portable device with touch pad......text pad on back.......dual analog...........version wifi signal wherever you at.....and also doing forget, the awsoem PS3 graphics!!!

Yeah I guess ill have to wait till the price drops or sell alot of crap!!!!!!

After seeing the launch round here, I am totally waiting for version 2 of this device. The west in a sense is lucky, they will get a product with a lot of launch kinks present here in Japan already worked out.


Still it has been enough for me here to hold off on this buy.

It really depends on the games that are coming out with it in the first few months, my PS3 needs fixing and my psp is almost at the end of it's life. So I would like to wait till version
2 but if MH3, FFX, ZOE HD come out then I will be hard pressed to not get it.

The line up here in Japan is admittedly weak from my point of view. Browsing PSN Japan I was not that impressed, in fact, I was saddened by the fact that SOny had to release a full front-page flyer on PSN advertising the Gravity Daze Demo, as if that was the system life-jacket. Though I am noticing sales are picking up though I am also noticing some complaints on the full range of backwards compatibility of the system. Again, Sony is working out the kinks so I am sure by the time it is released on other zones it will be golden.

Nothing lately is must-have from my point of view with the video-gaming. It has become so ubiquitous and normal that waiting for prices to drop and for things to get slim-down is the better option for me.

Look like 3DS and MH4 will be the next console for me. I bet it will be the next English version of MH. Unless new MH release for Vita, which I don't see it will happen.
