ok! here goes my 5cents on Festival aka Guild Wars

Festival takes 3 weeks.
1st week is for Guilds Sign Up
2nd week is Battle Week, this is where things happen, you kill certain monsters from the given list to obtain 入魂　nyuukon (soul points) so you must kill/cap/either/deliver/ whatever they ask for in the list
3rd week is Rewards Week.

First of all, you go ahead and have the leader of the guild sign you up for Festival on sign up week, your guild will be randomly assigned to a team, either red or blue and of course they are evened out. While its on sign up week, you can only view the monsters or items that need to be killed/capped/delivered on the battle week.

Battle Week, again, this is when you collect soul points by doing what I said above. It is best if you get a lotttttttttttttt of points as a guild to get to top 100 guilds with the most points.

Top 100 guilds (winners or losers) get more rewards because of the effort, how do you know if you made it to top 100? I can't tell you for Kr, cos I don't play it and on Jp, there is a website. Anyways! there is also secret quests that give extra Soul Points, it could be something like HR51 blos(50 points) HR31 babakonga(20 points if killed 5 extra if capped) It's always different, and those secret quests only appear for the current losers. The score is updated every day on battle week at mid day Japan time.

Ok! The second week is over, now it's reward week. This week is when you find out if your team (red or blue) won. You can check the score at the festival booth in game. If you are on the winners team, you will get a Winner Crown, 20 purple tickets and points to exchange for items at the festival booth. Losers will only get 20 tickets, a Hypnoc wang and less points to exchange at the booth.

Top100 winners or losers will get double the rewards iirc, It's been a while since we got top 100 winners or losers due to guild inactivity annnnddddd its more competitive now. Back in the days it used to take 10000 for 1 guild to make it to top 100 winners, now it probably takes 30000+ to make it to the bottom of top 100s.

The purple tickets are to access winners' quests, or make Festival weapons(short/long/random) To upgrade these weapons you need Pink tickets! These tickets can be obtained from the Winners quests.

You need 20 purples to make 1 weapon and 30-40 pinks to max each weapon.

To enter winners' quests, you used to need to wear the crown, I don't know if you do in Kr, but in Jp, you don't anymore.

How to calculate your number of purple festival proofs (祭典の証) & festival points (必要祭P):

You must have contributed at least 1 入魂 (soul pt) to get rewards. You get nothing otherwise.

Calculating the number of purple festival proofs (祭典の証) is simple:

Participation: 5 proofs
Winner: 20 proofs
Tying (virtually impossible to happen): 20 proofs
Place at the top 100 and winning: 10 proofs
Place at the top 100 and losing: 15 proofs
Place at the top 100 and tying (virtually impossible to happen): 0 proofs

So there are only 5 possibilities to calculate the # of purple festival proofs obtained:

Winning Team, Top 100: 5 + 20 + 10 = 35 proofs
Winning Team, Not in Top 100: 5 + 20 = 25 proofs
Losing Team, Top 100: 5 + 15 = 20 proofs
Losing Team, Not in Top 100: 5 = 5 proofs
Tying Team (virtually impossible to happen): 5 + 20 = 25 proofs

Calculating the amount of festival points (必要祭P) during rewards week is more complicated:

There are two determining factors we need to calculate and add to find out the total number of festival points that we will obtain.

The Formula to calculate the total festival points is:
Total Festival Points = (Fundamental Points + Festival Result Points) * (Individual Bonus Multiplier)
We will calculate the sources for points separately then add them together
----
Fundamental Points: This is more complex and would be affected by your individual contributions and how well you fare on the "world cup".

World Cup Points: There are only 3 possible outcomes when you do the Guild-Only World Cup Time Attack quests, which are held for 3 days during the week of sign-ups
Ranked 1-10: 5,000 points (up to 50,000 pts for the whole Guild)
Ranked 11-30: 2,000 points (up to 20,000 pts for the whole Guild)
Ranked 30+: 0 points

Individual Points: Basically how much soul points you turned in during the week

Individual Bonus Multiplier: Depending on how much soul points you contribute, this multiplier will change. Here are the common multipliers:
5000+: 1.5 (50% up)
2000-4999: 1.3 (30% up)
1000-1999: 1.1 (10% up)
100-999: 1 (none)
1-99: 0.5 (50% down)

So the formula will be:
Fundamental Points = [(Individual Points + World Cup Points)/10] x Individual Bonus Multiplier

If you are the guild leader, you will have a 2x multiplier for your fundamental points!
So the formula for the guild leader *cough*smash, is:
Fundamental Points = [(Individual Points + World Cup Points)/10] x 2 x Individual Bonus Multiplier

Festival Result Points: This is calculated like the festival proofs

Participation: 100 P
Winner: 400 P
Tying (virtually impossible to happen): 400 P
Place at the top 100 and winning: 500 P
Place at the top 100 and losing: 200 P
Place at the top 100 and tying (virtually impossible to happen): 0 P

So there are only 5 possibilities to calculate the festival result points:

Winning Team, Top 100: 100 + 400 + 500 = 1000 P
Winning Team, Not in Top 100: 100 + 400 = 500 P
Losing Team, Top 100: 100 + 200 = 300 P
Losing Team, Not in Top 100: 100 = 100 P
Tying Team (virtually impossible to happen): 100 + 400 = 500 P

To calculate the total festival points, just simply add these two point sources together.

Just a reminder, this week's 30th festival has a triple bonus festival proof and point multiplier!
This means, you get 3 times as much festival proofs and points during reward week! (e.g. Winning & Top 100 = 35 x 3 = 105 festival proofs! Or just forget the top 100 and getting 25 x 3 = 75 festival proofs is more of a realistic goal... =] )

Not sure if any of the Tailwhip guys were on tonight, but the tie between red and blue was so close that they let the secret go for both teams. It was a fun surprise! We were winning but we still got to do secret quests!

By the way, I'm not sure if you guys are aware
but this week's festival is a little different than usual.
Instead of competing against other people, we're working together across all the servers in order to earn a certain amount of points.

Over 200,000,000 points: double the HL/EX stamps
Over 240,000,000 points: triple the guild points
Over 280,000,000 points: triple the rasta points
Over 320,000,000 points: four times both festival points and festival tickets

Somehow I doubt we'll get even close to 320,000,000 points. I really want to get to 280,000,000 because I want those rasta points for my house. ;_; But somehow I'll doubt we'll get that, either. If we can get to 200,000,000, I'll be amazed, considering we're only up to 65,419,207 at the moment.

The last festival was the 3x tickets event going on. Total points was around 160k. I think at most it will hit 200-220k.

120,000,000: HRP Received from Quests will increase next week. (Good time to Get Premium and SR Rank?)
100,000,000: Zenny Received from Quests will increase the week after the next.
80,000,000: Doubles the Guild Points received for the next 2 weeks.
60,000,000: Doubles RP received for the next 2 weeks.
0: Be able to do winner quests next week.

Lol, I guess everyone gets 25 tickets (the situation if the teams ends up in a draw I mentioned on this thread), regardless of top 100 or not~ so 25 x 3 on bonus, Easiest 75 tickets gotten ever! lol =p

200mil over all the servers? I'm sure that's possible. I've seen each side in the 30mils over a single festi, if I remember correctly. This is over all the servers, and ours alone is 60mil if we do that well again.

I've also noticed, thanks to experience in Phantasy Star Universe, that events like this the players go crazy and play non-stop, so I wouldn't be surprised if the scores go even higher per server.

Also, aren't there only 3 servers?

Servers 4 and 5 are xbox 360 servers, so don't expect much from those =p
I think the last time this event happened, we all got 150 million.
I expect servers 1-3 give about less than 40 million each, and the xbox servers about less than 25 million each, which is still not 200 mil =p
