As the title say..i had been go online mode for a while bt mostly saw gl,gs,hm user..none is ds or bow..T_T.Boring.

Bows and HH are rare to find users for, they're great in teams (in fact perfect), but solo they're difficult when no one has your back (except cats, but they're pretty useless)
People start to think they're useless altogether because they've seldom tried it with success

I wonder why u like gs..coz of the high raw damage?...i really hate gs coz u had to get the right timing inorder to hit the monster head accurately.T_T
Well..good news i just make 600 power juices for beating mobs..takes about 5hrs to do it keep making rare steak is boring.

The timing is easy to get once you've fought the monsters multiple times already, so it's not a setback. Monsters are really predictable in p2ndG once you've faced them and figured out the patterns they do stuff in.

DS and LS can both be used in a more randomly aggressive way; just spamming your attacks till you get hit, with somewhat good damage output.you'll get better when you get further into the game, and you might like GS and Hammer too

But yeah, HH will always be rare, as a support weapon it won't be practiced much in single player.

I am absolutely a DS user... I usually melee with DS and range with LBG. I'm very used to the mobility afforded by these two classes.

Bows, I find a bit awkward, but I can bow fine. Just that I don't have a bow armor set to speak of.

Well...i rarely use bowgun bt i did use bow for lao,other i use ds for anything except yama. i did master ls bt i get bored with it so i try ds...what i believe that ds cn pwn the game.and yeah i m playing p2ndG coz i cnt get freedom unite in my country.T_T

DS won't pwn the game to the extent of Hammer (which I use for some high-profile, easy hammer targets like Rathalos and crabs) but you would find that they are still incredibly effective. That's what I've found - Crow Tessen is made of win.

I did use hammer for breaking horn only and often use DS for cut tail and every thing.my speed run on rathalos with raven DS is 2.30min.the RA is awesome when i land a crit with demon dance.i think there are sme plyr out thre that pwn the game with DS,sry that i use short form on some word coz im using my psp to on the forum.

Hammers are awesome. Hammers and GS, when you get the timing just right and it smacks them in the face with a pool of blood just gushing out >8D

Yah, my wife can attest to this to the core. She was a hammer nut in MHP2ndG. In fact I would worry when she wouldn't use the hammer, she is that good with it.


She dabbled in shuryoubue (HH) and just didn't like it that much. I on the other hand, loved it with Ad Hoc Party. Fights that took good teams 10 minutes took 5 or less with a horn master spamming the goodness to everyone.


Stil I must confess it was not my best weapon as I only managed to find good uses for it online. Since most of the game I only played with my wife on local ad hoc we both brought damage output mostly and group heal armors or items to watch out for each other. My 2ndG file ended up with LBG being my top weapon by one hunt over GS. In MHP3rd my main hunter is GS and I have one specialist hunter on HBG with over 300 hunts completed.

DS I liked but never got into it that much. And while I liked its promise during the MHP3rd Demo, I failed to like it in execution during the full release.

Well personally, I am an all-round user which means I use all weapons. Even though I can't use a hunting horn or a heavy bow gun for jack.....I am still an all-round user.

I have been using DS since monster hunter freedom, and any time I decide that I should probably try to use other weapons more, I seem to fall back on them again, and in mhp3 I feel they really improved them with the devil bar thing, as it means that the stupid videos of ds noobs downing a mega juice and spamming /\ + O are much less common, which I love as I always saw that as a very tacky playstyle.

I Demon Spam when i have to farm. I don't use DS when I'm hunting the enemy for the first time(except mono/diablos).

I prefer bows over bowguns for most encounters. I also love dualswords even though I have very few.

Bows are perhaps the only weapon I am completely useless at. I have trouble hitting anything with the bow...

Otherwise, I'd say I'm good at every single weapon. Perhaps a little noob with the GL (stupid auto-guard instincts)...

I've made every Narga weapon, and I use them all except lance or bowgun. I will use whatever weapon is best for the team in online play. So I can be considered a bow/DS user
