I totally want to get this for no good reason really.
It seems cool that you "scan" in figures and have them appear in the game.

I blame TV ads and Penny Arcade for making me want it.

I have no idea what the game play is like other than you can level the creatures up.

Edit: http://www.skylander...y/game-features

Read some reviews and stuff. It seems the game play kinda like the lego video games.
You can bring your figures over to your friends house and they will retain their items/stats/level.
You can play local co-op and pvp with them.

You don't need to buy any more figures other than whats included in the starter kit (3) to finish the game
100%. There are some area's that each different elemental type unlock but it's just bonus stats really.

You can buy adventure packs which add extra levels which are decent and challenging. The game itself
had heroic challenges to complete which are pretty hard. The game also has puzzles and boss fights.

We sell it at my store, even have a little display where you can put the boxed figures on it and watch a demo for that character. Everyone fucks it up. The times I have to clean it back and put everything back in the correct place are as numerous as my deaths in Dark Souls.

Oh, and Target has an exclusive character, Whirlwind. It's a wind element blue dragon. Does it use wind-based attacks? No. IT SHOOTS FUCKING RAINBOWS.

A friend of mine played it, she enjoyed it, found it a bit addictive. Haven't heard any details though.

Does the visual style seem familiar to you, Halc? The idea that it might be a bit addictive? It's published by Activision, who owns Blizzard.

I do fee la little bad that Spyro has been reduced to just a cast-member in a money grabbing monster collector game.
If you have any issues with the forum or with other members, please PM me. I'm here to help.

One of the characters looks like http://www.wowwiki.c...lidan_Stormrage

From the reviews I've heard from people all the characters are good
and the game is done really well. It's not so money grubbing.

I too have become somewhat intrested about this. I have such fond memories from the PS1 and the firstgame I got for my PS2 was spyro, sadly that's when I lost hope in the game.:(

I'll read up on the reviews, and if they're sort-of good, I'll really consider getting it.

Ahh, Spyro...How you have fallen...

I agree with Jask on this one. When I saw Sklanders a month or more ago I was genuinely miffed. Sparx is gone, nuf said. It gets even better from there. :P
