BTW, has anyone joined one of those Covenants yet? I'm interested in this "Path of the Dragon" covenant.

Thanks for the info.
Were the three you saw the one in Undead Burg, the tower just before Undead Parish, and the one near the Darkroot Basin(should have the sword, greatsword, and halberd, respectively)? If so, I got nothing.

EDIT: Just completed Anor Londo... can no longer join that one convenant for the Darkwraith Set. I'm now told to hunt all the lords down for their souls as well. Seems the game is quite longer than it used to be.

So I should start as? Lol. I want something with higher strength and dexterity, and hopefully endurance. The warrior sticks out here, with the bonus of higher health and stronger armor, but I love Scimitars. Lol. And the Wanderer looks all ninja like. I need to decide.

The skeletons in Firelink Shrine, as soon as you get out of the tutorial area, can drop scimitars, but it's uncommon at best, and they aren't the easiest of foes.

Anyways, thief start means you already get master key and can pick another item instead of key. For high str and dex, go warrior. Thief set is from The Depths and its a pretty hated area.

Anyways, I got this awesome magical shield that murders anything without magic defense and scales with your Main Hand weapon....so say your main hand weapon does 600 per hit, the shield's special ability will do around 1500 or more upon contact.
Seems there are some new cheap miracles/spells as well. Some guy spammed this thing that pushed everything away dealing some damage and eventually pushing people off cliffs in the Darkwood forest. Learning quite a bit of tactics and counters for all these (my strength is now 40, endurance is 40 (max stamina is 160 at 40 endurance)). Aiming for a decent tanking assassin build. Gonna work on armor using Havel's ring and some combinatinos for best resistance and defense.
Current Stats are follows:
Class: Warrior
Slvl: 78
Vit: 15 or 20
Attunement: 10
Endurance: 40
Strength: 40 or 42
Intelligence: 10
Faith: 14
Humanity: 6 (I have 5 unused)
Equipment:
Gold-Hemmed Hood
Dingy Robe
Shadow Gauntlets
Shadow Greaves
Lightning Spear +4 (Working on Quelaag's Furyblade or w/e it called for fire element, then a Normal Rapier +15 when I get to it for strength and quick assassinations in PvP)
Crystal Ring Shield +4
Stone Greatsword (Switched with Zweihander)
Sword of Astoria +2
Rings: Ring of Fog, Havel's Ring (for going heavier armor), Cat Covenant Ring (for Forest Hunter invasions), and more later on.
Looking forward to completing all upgrades soon.
Sidenote on Builds and Tactics: Dexterity folks are kinda screwed in PvP (endgame Dex stuff isnt very good compared to the Strenght scaling). Lots of Strength increases attack speed and with maxing endurance, maximum swings possible with quick succession of attacks. Stunlock can be avoided with the old switch weapon method (if you know what I'm talking about.) Magic got nerfed hard and Pyromancy/Miracles are the metagame for alternative attacks with speed and efficiency. Lots of weapons get special abilities, like how Stone Greatsword has the gravity increasing field (like the miracle that does same thing but I forgot name) at the price of durability (400 souls per use is a good estimate of your repair bill; same goes for Crystal Ring Shield but much cheaper). There are some heavy defensive builds revolving around Magic Shield, I highly recommend pyromancy against it or using Melee Weapons. There are also rings that prevent certain damage (Physical, Lightning, and Fire resistant rings are separate. Make sure to help one of each element: Divine, Chaos Fire/Fire, Lightning, Dragon).
I can soul farm using Anor Londo's Silver Knights (the black knights but from Anor) with 900 souls per kill and the 4 from the second bonfire are easy to take out in a few minutes. So I easily net 3600 per 2-3 minutes.

Can you confirm this? I'd been reading that it was just poor wording and what it actually means is it just allows you to swing more weapons correctly.

You might want to look into the Darkroot farming. A couple NPCs spaced out well that give 2k souls each. I can handle them pretty well at SL 39 with a Black Knight Sword+1.

The knight and the archer don't. The mage, priest, rogue, and barbarian do. I think I'm forgetting some. I haven't fought them all. Glad the knight doesn't, he was a pain.

Takes me a few seconds to dispatch a silver knight (got silver knight straight sword, armor set, shield, and spear; are these same as black knight items?).
Also, the strength buff thing I'm not too sure about, but I can one hand stone greatsword and its a monster.
Gonna farm more souls so I can ge Ornstein's armor, upgrade a scimitar to +10 and turn it into furysword, etc.
EDIT: Got my furysword, easily murdered Pinwheel boss (its weak to fire), joined the Gravelord Servant and got Nito's sword, stuck at the start of Tomb of the Giants. Got my first item from a Black Knight (killed the axe one in Catacombs). This place is messy, can't see shit.
