Does Anyone Still Play?

I just got this game, and I'm also trying to use XLink Kai to play. I can't find any rooms or players, and wondering if anyone still plays and can help see if I'm doing it right. It looks like I am and says I'm reachable, just no one is playing.

Freedom 2 is now obsolete considering Unite is Freedom 2 + extras. So it will be hard to find anybody that still plays it rather than Unite.

Ah, my Gamestop didn't have Unite. :(
