It doesn't have to be anything already tried. How about something different instead. A humanist capitalist system! *gasp* you say, but how, it almost sounds like a contradiction in terms. The goal of capitalism is not to accrue humane brownie points, but to accrue monies! Well then how about a social compact, that flips that formula around a bit. By accruing humane brownie points, you accrue enough good will to get money by the truckloads. Remember you catch more bees with honey.

The current social, economic, governmental system is busted, and outright anti-altruism. There ought to be a balance somewhere that is both reasonable to achieve and desired. Sadly it can only begin with reassigning value to something other than the cold-hard cash. Until that day....

Somehow, I don't think this is think tank material. Maybe I just like actual discussion, as opposed to a group of 15 year olds talking about how anti-mainstream they are to the sound of Rage Against the Machine.

Anti-capitalism can be made into a real discusion. And the whole world isn't capitalist, so I wouldn't consider this mainstream. It simpily doesn't mix with some political views, so I am asking others for their opinion. Kinda get tired of you just coming on here, lashing out, and assuming the worst of people. I don't know if you do it to compensate something missing in you life, but from what I've heard, the internet wasn't meant to be taken seriously, at least forums like this. Your epeen is too large to even argue with, you just starw man your way out, and make apocryphal statements to make you feel a little more brisk.

I do it for compensation, definitely. I didn't get out enough as a child.

Feel better now?

That was very mature. Even some good vocab in thar. No sarcasm.

Though you triggered my loldeathmetal button.
"Slowly these jackals never cease, clawing at our gates, with nebulous beliefs, apocryphal, born from the callow minds of man, never resting till they have theocracy in hand, and church molesting state."

I lol'd at RATM. I prefer [early] Molotov Solution, Commit Suicide, Misery Index, Cold Heart, Sacrilidge, Need, etc for what you'd likely categorize with RATM when it comes to the idea of mainstream.

And I'm 17 ;)

I don't mind capitalism, but it is what it is. It could be Tank material, depending who posts.

I get paid too well working for a multi-national capitalist corporation to ever give anything else a serious thought. There is just way to much money tied up in capitalism for any other ideology to gain ground. And even those places that don't have capitalism, they want the affluent lifestyle of the west and are slowly coming around. So go enjoy your thrift shop farmer produce poverty, I'm going to stick with my designer clothes, restaurant meals, business class flights and 5 star hotels. I love capitalism ^_^
