The DS is more popular than the PSP in America. In Japan, the PSP was selling better than any other system, handheld or console. This was largely because of how ridiculously popular Monster Hunter is in Japan.
From what I remember hearing, the 3DS sales were disappointing in Japan. I know they were disappointing in America. Target was expecting to sell out completely everywhere, we've never been out of stock. The first delivery my store got sat there for, like, a week or two.
Boo hoo, ONE GAME is exclusive. Its not like you havent already played it a thousand times before. We all know its gonna be another rehash of the series with nothing more brought to the table but a new weapon, engine framework, and a monster or two. After playing almost exactly the same game from the first on ps2, to MHF1 through Unite, we get MHP3rd, and what is it? Different, yet entirely the same. I still haven't beaten P3, I got bored halfway through. And seeing now that a 'new' MH is gonna be on 3DS isnt exciting in the least bit.
Dont get me wrong, a new game is always fun for a while, but everyone who even touched the first PS2 MH knows that the series is far from fresh.
