Mine was when I was was hunting a rathalos with some people with a switch axe and as it was leaving the area, i hit it with axe overhead slash and brought it crashing into the ground. =3.

I forgot to mention that was my funniest kill.
My most epic kill was when i was fighting an alatreon with a great sword and the rest of my group were using sleep weapons. When they put it 2 sleep, they set bombs to the head and I set it off with a great sword charge. The alatreon was killed in a explosive slice.

Typed my whole epic story in a thread before the minegarde server went down, so to cut it short:

Time left 10 seconds, everyone had run out of potions, everyone was one hit away from dying, desperate times come for desperate measures. I placed my last large barrel bomb on the spot where alatreon would land after his mega icicle attack from above. I had been setting them off with paintballs for the previous 10 mins because two of the people had absolutely rubbish weapons and I had a sleep sns. And nobody else brought more than 5 bombs -__-

So yeah, alatreon was landing, 10 secs to go, I was going to set the bomb off with my paintball and this GS user decided to set the bomb off.

One of the players saw and went "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" because he'd die from the explosion. I thought that in my head. BOOM Quest complete! I thought it said quest failed at first, then was like huh?! Bomb had killed alatreon in midair. 5 secs left on the clock. Talk about a badass american movie ending

Wrote it better last time but I can't be bothered to make it as dramatic as it was because it takes too long.

Lol I know. It's because I didn't intend to take that long to kill it. The other good guy with the GS and I thought we'd fail before we even started. The other two had really bad weapons (Lacerator blade and Iron Striker). The guy who's urgent it was started crying with happiness. He had died and the other person with the bad weapon had died (forgot to mention that). Both hadn't really deserved to complete their urgents (I helped the other one before this one and she was too scared to come out of base after her death).

Hmmm. most epic kill and funniest? Let's start off with the funny kill.

I killed Deviljho from a charged hamme strike while it tried to jump on me. I got pinned at the same time. it falls dead, I'm still on the floor like an idiot. On top of that, everyone decided to try kill me while i was carving. XD

As for the most epic... (this does sound far-fetched but it isn't, I did this two days ago. next time i play MH3, I'm taping it. This would've been the most epic taped vid of mh3 if i taped it)

6* Agkantor and Uragaan (aka Jay Leno XD) One guy died twice so he left the group. in the first 5 minutes.
Anyways, me and the other 2 hunters decided to go on instead of backing out.

The last minute popped up. we thought we killed agkantor. It was still alive somehow. I think someone was using a sleep weapon and thought it was dead.

Uragaan decided to jump in the same zone as agkantor.
Everyone ran out of potions, no traps, no flash bombs, all whetstones were gone (agkantor decided not to jump into the lava at all), we all had what it looked like 1 hp.
My stamina was gone too, I don't know about the other two but it was pretty much suicide here.

I typed in "last minute gogogogogo" and we just went nuts. thankfully we were in a pretty open area, so we didn't get stuffed over by the walls.
Uragaan was about to roll around. Agkantor went to charge at me. I was using Dark Switch Axe. i overhead smashed Uragaan's tail and Agkantor's tail on the same slice. They both fly off.
The guy with the hammer went for uragaan while he was down, charged super pound, dead. one down. Me and the guy with the sleep weapon captured Agkantor.

I take a look at the quest timer. ONE SECOND LEFT. Over the chat box we were all screaming "we are epic" and "YEAAAAAAAH TAKE THAT JAY LENO"
The other line someone used was fully bleeped out so i don't really know what s/he said. There we no spaces either.

I can't really remember any really epic kills. In fact... I don't think I have any. :/

True i ran out of traps, the one guy pulled a trap out of nowhere. there were felynes everywhere. sorry i don't explain things in detail.

Killing rath while they are flying away is very satisfying (especially when youre the gunner who shot it 50 ft out of the air .

Funniest kill:
Barioth caught in a pitfall trap, it's pretty much dead but just barely clinging to life. I'm using my GS and I do the regular charge strike and go into that new second charge just as it escapes the trap. I'm thinking, alright It'll land just as I swing...It didn't. Yet I just faintly grazed the nub of what used to be his tail and boom, quest complete. It showed bari kicking at the air before finally dropping to the ground, dead. The whole group just burst into laughter after that.

Most epic:
Hm, tough to say, not many really stick out. But one that is fresh on my mind was when a friend wanted to do Agna+ so we both went SA and duo'ed him. For the most part we were both attacking but he didn't have armor that could hold up to agna and I believe with either two deaths already chalked up against us and him out of potions we finally get Agna into his final area. On the way there it shows we have five minutes left. Now my friend ducks in for a bit, but then starts heading back to camp while I rush in to fight. Well the agna just won't stay above ground, continually diving out letting me get one, maybe two shots in before diving back underground. My friend says he's going to end via subquest and just sits next to the bed counting down the clock.

Finally, Agna stays out long enough for me to actually get a good series of hits in. Getting to his side just as he's about to use his beam attack I use my SA sword burst on it's leg breaking that sucker off. Agna now on his side I roll to his head strike it once in axe mode before chaining into sword mode and going for the burst. My friend calls out 1 minute left just as the burst hammers agna's head and still wasn't dead. Getting back on it's feet it dove underground again and I was cursing under my breath I was sure it would avoid me until time ran out. Well surprisingly it didn't, it surfaces for it's in-ground beam and I close in and start spamming the SA's stamina swing and it pops him from the ground and while on his side kills him.

I just laughed and enjoyed my carves. I didn't even bother to see how much time was left.

The funniest kill I had ever had just happened last week. (also, just joined, this is my first post!)

My friend and I were helping a lower level kill Rathian and Rathalos. (He's level 92, I'm level 115) We start the quest and everything goes nicely. It's at deserted island.

We kill Rathian with no problem.

We get to the point where Rathalos is limping away and runs to area 7. He get's knocked back some and falls off of the map, glitches, and goes underwater so all you can see are the tips of his wings peaking from under the map and out of the ground. His head finally comes up, I hit him and he dies.

Since he was still off the map and in the glitch (technically), he plunges into the nothingness of the map. And his cry fades away. There's no body to carve.

That poor low level hunter must've been so sad he couldn't get his carves D: But Chris and I were laughing our heads off.

Yea, rathalos goes out of bounds alot, so if you make him flinch (bowgun ftw) while out of bounds, he will fall until he decides to fly or hits nul

Null would just remove the monster. It might delete a value such as "alive" which will end the quest, it could freeze if it was a monster like jhen, or the most likely thing will be that the quest will continue as if the monster is still alive, and you would just roam around until you ended the quest (abandon, die 3 times, timeout, end via subquest).

I've killed Jhen in like 9 minutes. At a certain point it cuts you straight to the 2nd stage, and he dies there once you hit him
