Seems like it is becoming the "fashionable" thing to do. Like trophy hunting. Some people seem to have a real purpose to what they hack, such as the PSN hackers...they were protesting for that guy, weren't they?
So, I heard you like Swampertz? Why yes, yes I do.

People are bored, they are also ingrates who care little about anything but themselves...Honestly gaming companies are open targets for this kind of thing. Who knows how bad this will escalate in the future?

I was watching the news the other night and a few guys from Essex (a place near me) had been arrested for being suspected of belonging to the group that hacked Sony. No names were given but this computer security guy was on the news and he was saying that although the hacking against Sony was illegal, bad and all that stuff, he highlighted that if a company like Sony could be hijacked by a few people, it shows how easy it is to hack.

It was a good point to bring up but as to why it happens is a mystery :(

Some of these people have mental diseases. The essex guy had a few, but the only one I can remember was agoraphobia, which means he was scared to go outside.

What was the reason WHY nintendo got hacked, All I heard was that they took one thing and that was it, no more problems again.

Attention seeking people? People who are unhappy over games? Riding the bandwagon? Possibly none, possibly all.
