So, Mad Hatter has been complaining that we create too many topics, and too many of our posts are general conversation, so, he suggested that it would be appropriate for us to have a private shoutbox. I think this would be good for all Clans if not just Pandox

First of all, is it possible? Second of all, can we have them?

A shoutbox would save precious memory, and allow for clans to speak in private without "spamming". It sounds like a good idea.

Shoutbox eats too much on our server. In order for it to happen, we will need to have a better server which will cost more $$

If its not possible to imbed a private shoutbox into each individual clan, is it possible to make tabs for the shoutbox, but still require a password to view the clans with a password?

like

Home/RPG/PANDOX/Vanora/GL/WTF etc, with clan leaders getting mod powers over their specific clanbox

Or is this not possible due to forum limitations?

I think it's not possible due to limitations of the shoutbox software. By the way, the shoutbox isn't something we made or that comes with the forum software, it's software that was purchased and added to the site. We're not going to buy a shoutbox for each clan.

There is no possibility of placing a shoutbox other than the one we have now.

Yea, stick to mibbit, one shoutbox is enough for the main site IMO, and to set up as mum said, costs money. Unless you want to give her the cash.

What's too many? I don't understand why pandox members posting in the pandox forum in that fashion is an issue.

Looks to me that lots of posts are a sign of a healthy forum.

2 things...

First, Ryuuki, you of all people are not in a position to lecture them about spamming.

Secondly, did any of you guys read what mum posted? The answer is a blanket "No". It's like you think this site runs for free or something.

Edit: One more thing. Kino, Ryuuki, as much as I appreciate your attempts to end the discussion, I personally would appreciate it more if you didn't try to do our jobs for us. Backseat modding, so to speak, is something that annoys me personally.
