Really, I think we need one to store all the video threads floating around in the MHP3 section of this forum. These days, the video threads just keep popping up, from your daily hunters to your extreme elitist.

Maybe this will clear it up a little for better topical discussion actually made there o_o...

A video section has long been sought after since the days of Unite.

It hasn't happened yet and I don't think it will happen now, sadly.

I second this motion or at least make it so one thread for every video and while your at it make it a pinned thread also so it will be easy to access. That way we won't have a million threads for new videos.

I have videos I like to post of my own but I don't like making a new thread for it when there are a ton already out there.

Exactly the problem out there in that thread at the moment. Thanks for pointing it out Lightningrave!

The admins don't feel it is necessary or would benefit all that much.

Honestly, it would mean we'd have to move a lot of videos that are currently posted, and then would have to keep moving threads that people would make in the main board, because you know a lot of people would just post directly to it and ignore the subsection.

Still, I'll try and talk to the admins about it when I get home tonight.

Jask pointed out some good reasons why this wouldn't get made, but I still think a video section would be a good idea.
If making a subsection is too tough, what about a general section for any monster hunter videos that someone would post? I know it would be a lot harder to navigate, but we could have some pinned navigation threads and it would be alot harder for people to ignore it if its a real section.

When you get a chance to talk to the admins can you also throw these ideas at them? (please)
If not a sub forum or a single topic then how about 1 video topic per user? Have that thread also listed under "Useful threads for MHp3rd" topic under the new video section. Also any existing multiple video threads can be merged or closed and the user can repost his/her video in the correct designated topic. Also allow the topic creator to double+ post only if a new video is added at each post.

If yes for a general video topic then just simply close all other existing video topics and let the Users repost their material in the new general MHp3rd video thread.

Thanks.

Making a sub forum can kill the main forum.

It's like losing 40% of your blood.

I lost 40% of my blood like ten times yesterday, and I'm still here :( This is a worthless post, disregard it.

But I'm all for leaving the mhp3 forum as it is, when people tags themselves properly, such as "XXXX's VIDEO THREAD" they aren't exactly hard to spot, and we DO have a search function for five letter words :)

I think a general video section would be much more trouble. We'd still have to move all the video topics over, still have to remind people to use it, but it would be much more chaotic.

Also, people might want to categorize their videos by game.

Guys, I'm only suggesting for a sub forum for MHP3 videos. I'm not too sure whether the older games have lots of videos or not
