@  Basukesu : (20 October 2014 - 06:33 AM) Got Diablo 3 UEE for PS4 and Wow! Such an improvement over w/e the hell PCs got! >< The new loot system has effectively glued by ass to the couch! >< DAMN YOU BLIZZARD! The shinies did it to me again ; ;

I am all late to the bandwagon but having fun, and the best part is I can solo it and not be constantly dependent on Bnet! BooYah! What were we talking about?
@  Mad Hatter : (20 October 2014 - 03:35 AM) I too stand at a reasonable vertical angle.
@  Tuddle : (20 October 2014 - 03:31 AM) All on my gameboy, of course, because I am a respectably upstanding citizen.
@  Tuddle : (20 October 2014 - 03:31 AM) I've been playing more gameboy games nowadays than anything else.
@  iHena : (17 October 2014 - 09:52 AM) 2hu
@  The Random Bard : (17 October 2014 - 04:23 AM) Gotta go back and rediscover them! Then we can compare Metroid finish times and become the best speedrunners in the history of forever.
@  Basukesu : (17 October 2014 - 02:59 AM) Along with a few castlevania games too...now that I think of it I have some fun games there I never touch anymore.
@  Basukesu : (17 October 2014 - 02:58 AM) But I do have every metroid game for that Nintendo Advance Sp if it is any consolation lol.
@  Basukesu : (17 October 2014 - 02:58 AM) Gyahaahha!
@  The Random Bard : (17 October 2014 - 02:57 AM) You diva. :l
@  Basukesu : (17 October 2014 - 01:17 AM) Um..no, hate Skyrim. And I don't own a Nintendo Console other than a Gameboy Advance the one with no headphone jacks and the clamshell design with side lighting not back lighting. lol cheap ass nintendont....
@  The Random Bard : (16 October 2014 - 02:56 PM) "NOT NOW KIDS, DADDY'S IN SECTOR 3 PLACE IS BLOWING UP."
@  The Random Bard : (16 October 2014 - 02:55 PM) Just do what I do, Basu. Play Skyrim. Or try to get faster and faster times on Metroid Fusion. xD
@  Basukesu : (16 October 2014 - 01:13 AM) I get the logic though, I went through the same thing with Warframe and now that I have it down pat I can't stop playing it, BUT it is constant online. I need at least one or two games I can play offline and can pause, cause well...life with 2 kids demands it.
@  Jask : (15 October 2014 - 09:57 AM) I think that's the first time I've ever seen beautiful used in relation to a MOBA.
@  Jader7777 : (15 October 2014 - 08:59 AM) DotA2 is better than League. But also somewhat more complex. I suggest trying to play and learn with friends, more digestible that way. You'll find it just as difficult to 'understand' as most people have with Monster Hunter. Once you understand the fundamentals of the game though it really opens up into something beautiful.
@  The Random Bard : (15 October 2014 - 07:56 AM) Yeah, you basically gotta play League to see if you'll like League.
@  Jask : (15 October 2014 - 06:46 AM) Not sure about paused, but I enjoyed Mercenary Kings on my friend's PS4. Haven't looked into PS4 games too much.
@  Basukesu : (15 October 2014 - 06:13 AM) Also need a good offline game for my PS4 that will last me ages and ages can be played solo and can be freakin paused.
@  Basukesu : (15 October 2014 - 06:12 AM) hmm, might try it later if there is time. Gonna need a replacement for FFXIV since I don't play on renewing my sub once it is up in like 70 days

Download link.

For Windows only.
If you get the error message saying that the application configuration is incorrect, you need to download and install the Microsoft C++ 2008 Redistributable.

Hopefully everything is obvious enough in terms of usability.

You can now directly import all your charms from your PSP save data. No CFW required. It only reads from your save; it doesn't change anything, so it should be completely safe from corruption. If you're paranoid though, you can always back it up first. It's good practice to back up your MH saves regularly, anyway.

Feedback appreciated!

Changelog:

Amazing, glad to see there's a MHP3rd version.
I'll be sure to use your A.S.S whenever I need to find a set (The Unite one helped me out quite alot). :P

I'll post on GFAQs soon. Also, any translations will be in the future, after all the functionality is done. I'll keep those offers in mind, though, for when I'm ready.

Upcoming features:
-"My charms" manager
-Right-click on charm to see table and rarity/odds of getting it
-Check for updates button (link to this page)

Anything else I should be adding?

No-one getting any mistakes/crashes?

I've been playing a lot of P3rd, so I've missed your ASS, Rhys. I'm stoked to see your ASS on the internet though, and when I get home I'm going to make sure I hit that ASS to make lots of sets. Hell, I might even abuse that ASS!

Very useful ASS. thank you so much.

it would be awesome if you put "Clear all/reset" button in future update lol (kinda annoying to manually clear stuff since it doesn't reset even when the program is closed). but what I wanted most is the My Charms option. great work work nevertheless.

The base defence is the total defence you get with no armor spheres applied. Max defence is with all armor spheres applied, including the extra upgrades unlocked by beating Amatsu.

I can't really think of the point of the base defence, tbh. 'Twas a carry over from the MHFU ASS, where I didn't have the max defence data...

Wait. Am I doing it right?

Have you made improvements to the search algorithm since MHFU? It seems to search a lot faster (regardless the amount of equipment in MHF3). That or I should defrag more often.

Hi Viki :)

The MHP3 ASS is slower due to all the charms that need to be searched. The smaller amount of equipment doesn't actually make that much difference - the major optimization is trimming the armor search space down to just the optimal pieces, and both games have similar numbers of "optimal" armor.

I updated the old MHFU ASS to make better use of multi-threading, and it's blazingly fast now, at least on modern (multi-core/hyperthreaded) CPUs.

I think the MHP3 ASS is still too slow, but I'm having trouble thinking of new ways to optimize it. The only thing I have yet to do is go over the core calculation and do a major optimization pass. No idea if it will help much, though.

[EDIT] Oh and to answer your question, yes the algorithm is improved. MHP3 actually made some things simpler, for example there are no decorations where the 1-slot version is better than the 2-slot (like there was for some skills in MHFU).
