Just a suggestion to make a sub section of Random Musings for Meme's discussion.
Meme's would have to fit into current rules to be displayed/discussed.

What does everyone think?

Seems like a good intentioned idea, but the definition of "Meme" is really vague, probably too vague for this to be seriously implemented. Would I be correct in guessing that this is an attempt to make RM not completely suck?

If there would be an RM and an RF, what would RM contain then? Heck, what's RM supposed to contain in the first place? From some staff posts saying they want to 'reclaim' RM, they're suggesting that RM used to be different way back. How was it originally, actually?

I was thinking more like you'd have one section for things like videos and comics, and another sort of "Miscellaneous" section.

Actually one isn't doing what you said. You misinterpreted. He made an analogy of this thread compared to the entire RM. What's the point of cleaning out the garbage can? It's just going to get dirty again. Removing this part of the forum would cause everyone to post it somewhere else, might as well just have a place "can" to put all the stupid random stuff "trash".

The whole "Old RM" thing is more nostalgia based than anything else. It was different, yes, but better? worse? Who Knows? It's all opinion, and most opinions are colored by nostalgia. Not that I enjoy the current version of RM, to be honest. The main problem is that nobody wants to post serious topics in RM, or, to be more specific, the fear of derailment is too strong for people to do anything other than spam.
