So I have come to this site, and a few others, looking for the sense of community that Tri-Online has failed to provide. The chat system is sub-par, And the players that infest the servers seem to like beating the blow-gunners with torches while we stand back trying to heal them. Does that seem right to you? (Don't answer, I am sure most of you are those people who beat me with torches)

On top of that, How hard is it to get your hands on a USB Keyboard? I posted a request on facebook and within 3 minutes, I had 5 offers. So that eliminated my communication problems. But then I have to deal with the other players inability to talk.

Is it just me, Or does anyone else thing that because Capcop released an MMO version of MH before Tri, They could have done so much better with online play?

Side of all that. I can't get a party together that actually can play as a team. I get one or two people, rarely, who actually want to do the quest, Then everyone else runs around like a bleeding chicken. Or they want to do Morang. Way out of our ability, And bitch when they die. Its really disappointing.

Oh Hi! My name is Vic. This would be my first post XP

Most of the players from this very forum are known to be far, far far more organized and willing than the random players out there.

I understand what you mean, having had the game since the day of release and putting most of my time into the online play. Not all of the random players are terrible, but it's almost like trying to find a needle in a haystack to find good players.

I also think that more players would act like a team if they were to play with people they actually knew. If four random people enter a room there's a high chance that they won't act like a team, whereas if four familiar players start a room, they are going to have each others backs, so to speak.

Fully Agreed.
I have been blessed with a few good games (Something like 1 out of every 40?) that not only did we do a great job, But it was just alot of fun.

Saddly, I see so many Cities with 3 people on 3 different quests. Or when I try to organize people, They end up just running off and starting another quest. It seems like people Don't want to be a team.

I'm positive that if you were to join a hunting party from this very forum, you'd see much stronger team play.

For some players, it's all about ranking up and getting the "best" of everything and it's often these kind of people who don't care for things such as teams. The slightly laid-back people who would prefer to have fun hunting and get whatever they need are often the kind of people who would play a team role.

Players play the game for different reasons.

Actually, good players tend to seek good players. It's not that hard to tell when someone's competent; and usually, small acts of kindness are all over the place even with complete strangers. The people I like best are the ones who are both reliable and flexible, who are comfotable about doing almost anything and don't quit when the adversities come up.

First of all, I dont beat some one with a torch is trying to heal me( if I were that stupid, I'ld probably be in a mental institutuion that doesent let me play these games in the first place), and second of all, why doesnt anybody get a keyboard? Seriously, mine cost $10.
The point is, its a wii game, and since nintendo isnt really designed for MMO as far as communication, this is a constant issue. Im sure if your looking for a new MH game that helps you find people who are interested in killing monsters and not their teamates, your probably going to have to wait for mh frontier in america ( which I hear is coming to xbox 360), or stick with play station.

Random players always mess about in any game.

It's not just limited to the MH series. It's stupid because when you support each other then the game
becomes so much better.

Welcome to Minegarde to start! I hope you'll be around often. And second, you're at the right place for finding the right players. I play tri with the members here and they're just fine. We act stupid when the quest is OVER but we're not those idiots that don't know what to do or come to fight halfway through the quest.

Its a video game, its meant to cause you enjoyment. People enjoy the game differently from others, thats just them. Also people might be younger, or might not want to talk to strangers online. They could also possibly not be fluent in English.

Hi, I'm Kaos,

I'm a great MH Tri player and all that. Im wondering, what do you play on?

Pal? US or European Tri?

If your looking to have ALOT of fun, you have to catch me and Drako together. He's my battle buddy. If I'm playing he's normally with me. I've already got everything that I want in this game really so I'm always down for whatever everyone else wants to do.

Yeah, later brochacho.

Exactly! Ashqul and I, and everyone else we hang out with on Tri are way more cooperative than most. I do understand your pains though...

Don't even get me started on how childish some people can be on gathering quests. And have I mentioned how irritating it is to have someone come up behind you while your carving a monster and use their upward swing SA attack? Spamming it on you until the time limit is over, so you can't carve anything...IT'S ANNOYING.

Yeah...Ashqul(Ashiq on Tri) Champz, Jaiflame, KidKaos, Drako, Zunee, and me(Quel) are all good hunters. And by good I mean not ingrates-who-like-to-be-%$$%&*$.

Thanks...I think?

Tbh I've never seen a good time to upswing someone.

There's a first time for everything though.

My friends lil bro got stunned from getting hit too much, so I decided to upswing him and take the hit from the lolcharge. In the end the upswing not only saved him, but also staggered the rathian, letting me sheathe and run away to snipe some more.

You never know when staggers happen in team play as hit counting is much more difficult. So I like to take chances.

When hammering and you see your friends about to get hit or stunned, give them a good swing or a charged smash. Always saves them from a monster. :)

SP's aoe sends them off quite nicely. Trip animations have moi as well.

Super Pound! That's what its called, I forgot the name of that move when I replied! Not trip animations....they always kill someone off...especially when you have a gunner that aims at you as melee a monster.

It's possible to trip someone as they get lolcharged/hiphugged/whatever and have them unharmed, as long as you time it right. Same concept as rolling through a roar, although you'll most likely get caught in the attack but save the other person.

It's happened to me before, when I teamed with a random ls user.

It's useful on monster's with really long rawrs if you have someone do it with you

If you kick each other right before it rawrs, you'll both be unaffected. Useful on THE NOX, Diablos, and Jhen
