And I don't think an elementary school crush would count, as that's my only clear defining "heartbreak" I've experienced.

Would a middle school heartbreak count then?

being not on the mood after broke up is normal bcoz you already love her and she's lost. all your time, plan, gigs you are with her.

dealing with this is to make yourself busy. dont always get solo, have fun man. its ok to remember her then just remember the happy thought and smile. dont feel weak life is full of challenges....

Been more than a year since my one and only breakup. Sucks real hard for me because I really went all out to love her. Guess she didn't cherish it as much as I did :( effects still come back to haunt me till this day..

You don't get over some people, but the feelings will become less and less in time.

I never really let it get me down. In college it was all for show and I was shallow so I didn't care too much. Post college, I had no 'goals' to share with anyone except focus on myself so I didn't care then either.

Then in my late 20s I got some sort of bug and I didn't like being alone but I decided to just cut the bull and look for people who wanted family and stability and that was the end of that.

Everyone is different but if you define for yourself what you are looking for then you can go forward much more easily. In youth it is all emotion driven and so it is easy to fall prey to the maelstrom of feeling and second guessing.

As you get more experience and you begin to get a clearer picture of who you need in life you begin to spot problems and potential faster. It is not always dead on but hey, it gets pretty good. In the end if you are in it for the long haul and find someone who is like minded then things develop from there.

For coping just do what comes normal, be with friends, look to the future, pick up a self-improvement project (like learning to sketch something or writing in a certain style or reading more books or even exercise) and just stick to that and in the doing things will come your way too so it is always good to literally think positive and not dwell on bad crap despite what you may 'feel' at the time.

I don't know, but I'm kind of, moping around and stuff about someone else, really saddening shit that I didn't want to hear, and things I really didn't expect to happen.
