It irritates me when people post quests with no regard to the other people in the room.

EG: HR14 guys posts a quest with a HR9 requirement even though there's an HR3 and HR7 in the room.

What's worse is they take up a space in the city by taking 45 minutes to fail it going solo

I just finished an Alatreon event quest. It was pretty fast, around 10 minutes. The fastest Alatreon hunt I've ever participated in. I said, "Wow guys, that was fast!" and this guy says back "... that wasn't fast" like... it wasn't. I know it can be cut down to around 5 minutes but we were only 5 minutes off from that, which in my opinion is fantastic. That guy came across as a total jerk when he said that, but I didn't say anything to him about it. He did end up saying "but good job anyway" but that only made me more annoyed. I don't know if they were trying to be a jerkass by talking like that about such a good hunt, but he did to me. That was nothing compared to how long Alatreon battles can drag on.

A: This is old news, but why does Escadora suck so much? Seriously... Awaken is good with the right weapon, Evade Dist should be a +10 skill, Blightproof is convenient at best. Further, there aren't even enough slots to gem in anything really good and the resistances are terrible. The end game armors in Unite kick sooo much more ass then Escadora. If it had Awaken and Handicraft, or even Hearing Protect, it would rock so much more. And the Gunner version isn't much better... Rapid Fire seems like its only useful with the right gun, and even then it will only apply to 1 or 2 ammo types. Ugh... is there anything that beats a good Helios/Vangis combo? I think not.

B: Lol at 'l337 badazzez' who say obnoxious things like "no one die" before an Altreon fight, then get KO'd twice failing the quest for everyone. For a finale they rage quit before you can even get a few good jabs in. It doesn't bother me when people faint... I mean, it happens. But when some Escadora wearing tool fails that hard, it actually brings me satisfaction. Lemme guess... your clan farmed that armor for you? C'mon tell me I am wrong. sucka

Ranting eh...? Hmmm....Well I did use to hunt with these two hunters who managed to get to HR 51 before me and ever since then they have been unapproachable...That's downright imbecility...Actually HR biasedness in general I don't like.

Helping some newbies today with a Rathian. We were going to capture it, and had racked up two deaths so far. Tail got cut off, and a trap was placed. What do all of them do, but rush over to the tail. Rathian Charges, and we are 5/3 deaths.

What is it about people always wanting to carve a tail WITH THE MONSTER STILL ATTACKING THEM?!

But seriously I think its more of a "Oh shiny thing *grab* Then the boulder falls on them" kinda thing... impulsive natures in kids these days.

He's a giant PRICK. The only thing melee users can reliably hit are his fracking legs, and that's if you can even hit him to begin with. For such a large monster, he's unfairly agile, and those legs of his are very, VERY thin targets.

Fuck it. Next time, I'm gunning his ass down.

How on earth can they even be used to create a piece of armour? It makes no sense and I have to muck about in the arena killing 3 monsters to only get 1 coin at the end of it! What?!

Rathalos....so fucking hate it when the moment to place a trap he always manages to fly away out of the area...next time i place a trap im gonna fuckign ready a flashbomb to prevent him from fleeing >_>

Also Rathalos and Diablos are 2 giga pricks lately, they just seem to hit me in places they normally never we're able to hit me before, not to mention they chain you to death the instant they get you on rage mode...

Edit: ALSO RHENO"s!!!!! so fucking hate these guys in sandy plains whem im fighting diablos and try to trap him to get his horns, they always manage to sneak in my back and rush me over...by the time i get up Diablos is out of the trap.

Wueeeh? I dunno what THEIR excuse is, but -I- do it because I love to gamble. I'm just DARIN' that monster to try and get me before I finish!

Speaking of help-the-newbs, that's what I've been doing the past few weeks. Some of the friends I hunt with don't really play as much anymore so I just kinda lag around in the rookie servers choppin' up the stuff I've already chopped up.

So, this newbie, barely out of his Jaggi gear (wearing Royal Ludroth stuff now), puts up a quest to capture Great Baggi.

I'm sitting here thinkin' "Uh, seems a little high for you, pal, but okay.".

And I say this because I see he's still wielding the old Bone Axe. He intends to take that weapon on THIS hunt. That thing doesn't really have desirable sharpness until, y'know... it STOPS being a bone axe.

So I'm sitting here wondering if he's thinkin' I'll make up for his stunning lack of preparation and experience.

Try as I might, he still dies 3 times (He hardly puts up a fight, doesn't even seem to be trying, or just confused/scared as to what to do). And I tell him, "Y'know that was kinda out of your league, dude. Let's try something else.". But, no. Another person shows up in the city so he's all confident and rarin' to have another try. I shrug and figure an extra hand oughtta help things along. By the way, note he wasn't happy with me implying he totally screwed up the hunt (which, uh, he did).

So, what happens next comes as a shock to, well, pfft. Nobody.

I swear, I got to that item box and the trap was the FIRST thing to vanish. Then right when that happens?

-(dude's name here) lost connection.-

I ask the third hunter, "... did you grab that trap, by any chance?"

She goes "... nope."

Well, fortunately for me I had extra traps on hand, because Dray ALWAYS has extra traps and tranqs for the hunt. ALWAYS. They are a staple of my inventory. And so the hunt proceeds with no significant losses (other than a shock trap that didn't have to be wasted if we had that supply trap...).

Afterwards, the guy logged into the city just as we finished up. Not wanting to tell him flat-out I suspected he did it on purpose, but still wanting to stick it to 'im, I tell him "Oh, hey! We managed to finish up just fine, no worries dude. I had spare traps and sh*t.".

So, even though we got through the hunt, it kinda ticks me off he had the gall to even try that (assuming that was done on purpose, which is what I intend to do).
