Unfortunately, changing the color isn't that simple. To do so requires creating a new theme, and making themes requires image editing and knowledge of CSS. We have a limited number of people capable of implementing themes and an even more limited number of people capable of making them. Adelaine is pretty much gone and HotGamerMum is pretty busy these days.

It's easier than a full blown programming language. I think it might be easier than JavaScript too. There should be plenty of sites out there to help you learn.

You'll still need the template for skins. Either get them from the admins or from IP.Board sites. The admins are a bit cautious about accepting skins from users, due to the security holes CSS can provide. You're always nice and helpful though, I'll vouch for you.

Yeah I miss the black bg. Bright white is bad for yr eyes of yr staring at a putter screen all day. Atleast black doesn't dilate yr eyes causing it to strain compared to the white.

Yes, i enjoyed the black also. I'm sure one of these dudes on the forums might know about this stuff.... I mean, it cant be THAT hard to change up just the colors for the time being.
Maybe a low level moderation incentive?

A moderator position isn't something that should be given as a prize, it's something that should be given to someone responsible and trustworthy. Besides, it's not as cool as you think.

I never once said in that post that it was 'cool', let alone easy or enjoyable as you might be implying. I mentioned the moderator part cause I know nobody at the registered user level would have privilages to make changes to forum code.

Currently Admins are the only ones with access to make such changes. It would probably be possible to make a new usergroup with access to only the relevant sections of the Admin Control Panel, but, it would be much less trouble for skins to simply be submitted to admins, and have them implement them.

We should just make everyone admins then

But seriously, I quite like the blue now, but I don't know that it would fit with many other colours. I agree with Chaa though over the colours, and good luck Kino :)
So, I heard you like Swampertz? Why yes, yes I do.

I've done some CSS before.

As much as I'd like to help, I've only done basic CSS coding - not enough to justify me meddling with minegarde's coding. It makes me wish now that we'd focused MORE on CSS in my classes as opposed to HTML.

EDIT: If anybody is going to to try and take this on, this site might help.

There's only like 3 more buttons you have access to, some you still wouldn't be able to touch...

As for the color, It looks sleeker, but i have to get used to where stuff is

Yeah, I was an admin on one site and a moderator on another once. Both of which were really nice, sadly they both got shutdown at one point or another due to the same problem with both, the people who paid stopped paying because RL took over.

Anyway, adminning is actually quite alot to deal with. I thought it would just be chill when I was asked and accepted but I found out that it all just wasn't fun and games. I found that being a moderator was a little bit better. Because it was easier to post and say things to other members. Being an admin it made people not want to be as open. They were always like "omg ima get banned if I sayz the wrong thing!!!!!" lol. I liked moderator because I wanted people to say things back and challenge what I was saying.

Think about it, is there a member on this site who openly goes against or says something bad about our moderators?.... Other than me when I dislike something, lol. Now think about this, people will go against the moderators to some extent offering some form of fun/excitement. Then again, when they get too out of hand simply mentioning the fact that you could ban them for a few days was always fun too. :)

I kinda miss the fact that clan leaders can't get into the staff lounge anymore. I miss not being able to see what everyone was saying and planning. Made me feel like a moderator again. Lol.

Oh btw, if you want new skins, why not go to a site that has them on it and get them and put them on here rather than make them?

I actually miss the pale whitness of the void aspect a bit.

I'm also surprised I'm the only one who voted for chrome...I probably shouldn't have shared that tidbit of info.

Everything's so gloomy now. I feel the need to light a torch...just to see a horde of ninja creepers and vespoids rampaging towards me.

Don't get me wrong, I don't care what color the font/background on Minygard is....as long as it isn't pink, or violently magent.

You know you can change the skin, right? Dropdown list in the bottom left.

I like the catalyst theme, but I think that the IP bit needs to go orange, and the profile bar needs to go orange, along with the reply/edit buttons.
So, I heard you like Swampertz? Why yes, yes I do.
