So, most of us now already know about the current disaster going on in Japan. Well, from what I read somewhere, there's a better solution to help Japan rise up from this unfortunate event.

Buy Japanese products, ofcourse.

Donating to organizations like Red Cross would go through too many processes, your donation barely even goes to your target. Helping Japan's economy would be a greater step in helping Japan rise up again. This is why buying imported Japanese products is your best move.

Sites like J-List, Play-Asia, JBox are pretty good websites for these products.

And lastly, you'd also benefit from what you buy. Most, if not all, Japanese products are of high quality. Chocolates? Appliances? Robot stuff?
Oh wait, a better idea.

Buying your original imported copy of Japanese MH games.

So seriously, buy your imported copy now of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd! D:< Help our glorious creators of Monster Hunter.

The best idea right now IS to donate to the red cross. You can text them (google it or something) to donate $10, it's charged automatically to your bill (no processing, instantly done).

Shipping products would be even more expensive these coming months, Capcom has enough money... and that isn't quite how the economy works.

Just my opinion.

Yeah Kira's right. Buying Japanese products would help the economy, but that doesn't exactly trickle down to disaster relief.
Good intentions though :)

It would actually be best to buy something like a Japanese T-bill, to directly lend the government your money.

Have already donated 500 bucks to the canadian red cross. If things get worse, I have no problems donating more.

Mckrongs i think you're losing sight of what red cross actually does. The economy is going to recover, but at the moment there are people who are in need of shelter, food, clean water, etc. I have a japanese copy of MHP3rd and a bunch of japanese printed books, but how does buying all that have to help the people who are in need right now?

I had a great idea, I posted it on my facebook on how i can raise money for japan, just by holding a whole video gaming session competition at my school, since we have 10k+ students (HS and MS) only 5$ (USD) it would help.

Hell, if I knew how to set this other idea up, id stay up 72 hrs drawing non stop to raise money
