It would be helpful to post the quest name, the monsters involved, the weapons you and your team-mate used and the time you got with it to give a rough idea of how well the tactics worked. If it's an online arena quest, state what rank the time is, although I'm guessing most of the times you'll have are S-rank.
I'm not really a pro at arena but I do have full scholar/guild armour.
Online:
Bird and Brute
Quropeco and Barroth at the same time
Time: 7:39
Tactic: Me: Switch-axe, Randomer: Lance
We both took two rations and ran up to quropeco. Whilst he was looking around we placed down all our bombs and I set it off with the SA (hit the air next to the bomb to set it off without getting hit). I think barroth actually got hit by the bombs too. I flash-bombed Barroth to make him stand still while we hit quropeco. Whilst using switch axe I always had it in sword mode doing vertical chops. If the gauge ran out, I reloaded it. My team-mate just countered everything and laid on the pain. At this point I died from a barroth combo. Came back and paralysed peco once and soon after it was dead. Hit barroth for a while and he went into rage. My team-mate used a flashbomb to keep him in one spot. I paralysed him and we hit it for a while. When it started drooling I laid my EZ shock trap and we both hit him. He came out and I hit him for a few seconds paralysing him again. Hit, hit, hit. Burst switch axe killed him before he screamed.
General notes: use the burst attack just before your power gauge runs out to get in a lot of paralysis damage. My team mate was just skilled at lancing so it helped.
Try and keep the sharpness in the green and sword mode on the head. Use flashbombs only when barroth is in rage mode or when both quro and barroth are still alive. If you can hit both of them with the same flash bomb, it helps. If you see an opening, pick up lifepowders from the centre and heal each other to save time. Try to be as aggressive as you can with whatever weapon you choose to use.
