GS user here.
I don't see many people using it as their Main weapon.

I'm tired of seeing asshats with LS and SA who don't know what they're doing (not saying that all LS/SA users are asshats).

This is for Monster Hunter Tri. No bows in the game.
Although I do like me some Bows.

I agree, SnS should be a bit more common. I don't see many gunners either, to be honest.

I usually use gs/hammer anyways but for fun I try and pick a random weapon every now and then.

I am surprised the GS is getting a lot of votes. The GS is already a fairly popular weapon, and I have seen a lot more use of it lately online. Maybe it's that more and more people are realizing how much damage the Lvl 3 charge really does?

I never have even tried Sns in water, on land yes, I really like sns, but too many sns have bad sharpness and so little slots...
But I love hunting lagia and ludroth in water!!
When it comes to guns, indeed not many users there, but I played on the JPN servers, and there were a lot of gunners and a lot of good gunners!

I play alot better with a gun than with bladed weapons. I seem to dodge better and take more risks (without getting hit) when I have my gun. We need to make a gunner school, or at least a huge thread full of gunners sharing tips and stuff. I am willing to put in my two cents if it leads to more, better gunners. *Goes off to search for a thread*

The closer you are with normal shots the more damage they do. Wyvernfire shots require you to practically be IN the monster. When your offline, you are up close and personal a lot more than you would really want to be. Your still dodging attacks with a gun, Its just that you don't have to run at the monster when your not being targeted.
