Just a thought, but maybe you guys should stream more often? I'm sure if you guys started streaming more games, people will start coming more? Maybe you guys can have like Streaming events? You could have scheduled times where you can stream maybe. Or even have it where people from the forum play some video games? It doesn't only have to be monster hunter, it can be any game, but I think it will bring more people if you guys streamed more often. I like it, and maybe other will too? What does the rest of minegarde think?

Spoiler

Some scheduled streaming times would be pretty cool actually.
I personally, have no clue how to stream so I can't really help, but it would be fun to get on and see some bros playing.

I don't see any non-MH games getting streamed when *looks around* yep, this is a MH fansite. But, more streaming is a good idea. When it first came up, it was always on.

People should have their own type of streaming, from tutorials to etc? Different members wanting to do their own?
I can teach drawing tutorials and stream other computer games like Touhou and stuff, and maybe Frontier, not sure if my laptop can power it though

The people in charge of the streaming channel we have are a bit busy with life right now. If I remember correctly, Mr. Popo runs it, and he's hardly been able to get to the site due to college. Please keep in mind that we all have lives outside of the forum.

Opening up the streaming to more forum members creates complications. More people makes it harder for us to know that nothing inappropriate will be streamed. It also compromises security. The more people that know the account details, the higher the chances of those details being given to the wrong person. We've had trouble with that sort of thing before.
If you have any issues with the forum or with other members, please PM me. I'm here to help.

Well, why don't you only give it to trusted members of the site who are willing to stream often? I'm sure you guys have trusted members here, even though I haven't been here long. And a scheduled streaming time to a person who is able to stream often would help avoid time constructions, as they can build their schedule based on their free time. I think it would be fun and help bring more people here if you are willing to take the time to figure out a plan.

We have a trusted member who operates the stream. As Jask stated he is busy with real life commitments.

No we won't be allowing access to anyone else outside the Staff group to the stream area. Why?
Because of the reasons Jask stated.

Feel free to set up your own steaming and make a thread on it though.

I really think you guys are being petty close minded on this, I extremely enjoyed the stream you guys had going on today, yeah it wasn't alot of people there, but I enjoyed it enough to make this thread to give you guys an Idea. If I had my own streaming equipment I would gladly make a thread on it, but I don't. But hey, you guys are in charge, i thought it could of been a good idea.

I never flat out denied your suggestion, I just explained why things are as they are at the moment. I'll see about bringing it to the attention of Popo and the admins when I get the chance. Bear in mind that we've all been a bit busy lately. It's just a busy time for us all right now, so please be patient.

And I think you're being inconsiderate about it.
We gave you good reasons why it isn't going ahead at the moment.

It's a good thing that you enjoy the stream, I do as well since I haven't brought
P3 yet. But you have to be reasonable about things such as this and realise
all the staff are volunteer and do have personal lives.

We try our best but are only human at the end of the day.

Well, from the way a certain somebody made it seem, I thought you guys just basically threw out the entire idea, and I don't know if I stated this or not, but I do understand that people have been busy. Knowing that you guys will atleast talk about it makes me somewhat relieved :)

We have ever had someone else other than staff control video streaming before.

The consequences were a lesson to learn from.

After a few weeks, they started streaming everything EXCEPT MH. Even at the request of members of the site to play more MH, they refused and were even quite rude to them.

So, please excuse us for being less than enthusiastic at your suggestion.

How about opening this only to those older members of minegarde. Also have strict policy rules to tighten down on the content they can stream and proper punishment that will be given to offenders. As long as a tight policy is in place to prevent unauthorise streaming of non-mh stuff, this could work out. But if the staff really want to implement this, they would definitely need time to drill down the appropriate rules and selection criteria to allow the member to stream. That would take a hefty amount of time and it wont't be easy to implement.
