I have a friend who I KNOW would love Monster hunter, but he is fairly stubborn and he thinks the whole game is as hard as his first time fighting monsters like rathian in the arena, so he doesn't want to pick it up. I don't think he will play my copy of it if I lend it to him, so that might not be an option. Do you have any ideas on how I can get him interested enough to get it?

Try to convince him to play and fight the Great Jaggi first, then work him on up.

We have played all of the arena quests up to rathian. He actually cut the tail off and got her out of the air twice, but that was after a few failed attempts. He was having fun, but he still insists he wont play the series for some undefined reason.

I shown him jhen, but even though he has shown interest, he still insists he wont play it. I want to show him Alatreon but alas, I am rank 39 and nobody likes helping me with my urgent.

Shit. I straight up bought a copy for my friend and told him that he was going to play it with me. He insisted that he wouldn't, and he said he wouldn't have fun. After a couple of days, though, I kept receiving texts saying "Let's play MH" so I'd say it worked. I don't know if you can afford to just buy a copy, but it worked for me.

when you do get a copy for you friend, play a fresh save with him/her so that you dont give a sense you are power leveling him/her.

Do you still have the demo disk? (if you got one of course.) It came with premade characters and the ability to fight either Great Jaggi or Qurupeco. If you have it, I'd let him borrow it. Also remind him that he can either use numchuck or classical controller.

Give him a high rank SNS, then fight Jaggi
