i made a mage that uses Full gloom w/o the hat. (i got the monk yellow hat)

Its pretty sweet really. Havent died to any boss and killed most of em in like 1-3 hits with homing soul arrow

Going through world 3 with lv 10 SL was pretty interesting lol. lucky for me i fought the NPC old monk

shit now i'm scared. i thought only the old 360's are unreliable. is that the ylod? is it due to excessive gaming?

on another note, i tried getting both the friend and foe's ring in one playthrough but fell short of 1 BP kill to get a pure white char tendency. >.<

My current char is just around lvl 84 though. "Finished" builds are around SL 120 amirite?

Hm, my Dex guy is about 70, but his equipment isnt good enough for PvP. And yes, finished are from 100-120.

None of the above, just quit after a year of metal gear solid 4 and demons souls, only played it like an hour a day.

PS3 rarely has hardware failures. My cousin has the original launch PS3 and still works fine to this day with at least 3-5 hours of on time a day.

This game shouldn't be too hard for MH players since we're already accustomed to spotting enemy weaknesses while being ultra defensive at the same time. If you played Vagrant Story, this game is a bit similar where in it's the minions + mini-bosses who make your life a living hell especially in the first levels.

IMO, this game is easier than MH. I can run through all the worlds within 4-5 hours with a fresh start.

I'm invading regularly now and I noticed that all of my encounters in 4-1 are always me against a frickin gang. Is it always like that?

It was annoying at first but I'm getting the hang of the divide and conquer strat. Still, it's annoying when 3 sets of homing soul ray or firestorm are your regular welcome upon invading.

Well, if its a gang, why not try going Stealth to begin with? Make sure you have no Buffs/Auras while using thief ring. My dex character has pulled off 3 clean backstabs on separate invasions using thief ring and no buffs.

I was a bit confused too but here are some points which I think cured my confusion:

- You can beat any world in any order
- Catalysts are needed to cast spells
- Talismans are needed to cast miracles and spells
- Two handing weapons reduces the strength requirement (Your effective str is multiplied by 1.5)
- It's better to lvl up your endurance and vitality first unless you are rushing a certain weapon build

I got sick of using the wanderer class which is apparently one of the hardest classes and started again with royalty, which is apparently the easiest XD

bitch at me for using an easy class all you want, i was way to angry at repetitive dieing to continue with my wanderer class. Ill do it harder when I'm better.

I don't know. Royalty does have its benefits since it starts at the lowest SL, giving you a lot of control as to where stats go but the Wanderer is padded with a bit more vit which lets you soak a few hits.

My BBS char is a Royal but I never used soul arrow that much, I'm not a fan of magic.
