One thing i hate is liers.

It took me a long time to find out if the speculation and rumors were true or not, and it has been confirmed of last month that The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim, will release at the end of the year.

The original oblivion was a masterpece. Its large world and varied, vast landscapes emersed players in the beautiful land of Cyrodil. The Game offered a multitude of quests, to occupy players for a looongg period of time.

If Oblivion had all that potential in 2006, Imagine What Skyrim could accomplish nearly 6 years later. I seen on youtube the gameplay, and i can tell just by glancing the awesome graphical detail improvements. The game is set off nearly 200 years later thn the original and is not intended to be a sequal because of this. I just cant wait to play this damn game.

What i REEEEEAALLLYYY am excited for is the dragons. YES SKYRIM HAS DRAGONS. Whether u get to fight or ride idk. But there are dragons.

Heres the trailer.

*jizz* Yes please! I love the Elder Scrolls series, it can get monotonous just running through burial chambers but the graphics and shear size is fantastic! Definitely one to watch...

I think that a lot of people are expecting a second Oblivion game.

Whilst Oblivion was amazing, I think some people are going to be disappointed. This is not going to be the next Oblivion. It will probably have similar elements and mechanics which isn't a bad thing, but most of it should be new, or hugely improved.

One thing that I really hope they keep is the Guilds/Factions. The Dark Brotherhood on Oblivion was my favourite and the quests were fun and adventurous. I really hope they create new and exciting Guilds in Skyrim and retain the similar progression to Guild Leader. That was always rewarding in Oblivion.

Hopefully there's a few less game-world-destroying-glitches, but other than that I look forward to setting a dragon on fire.
Thats honestly all I thought when the game was announced

The visuals look stunning judging by those screenshots!

If they manage to keep those visuals consistent throughout the game, it will increase the overall experience massively.

IIRC, the official release date is 11/11/2011.

One thing I loved about Oblivion is the community of modders, and hence, of course, the ridiculous amount of Oblivion mods scattering around. It created a game experience like none other before, where every player would have different, customised experiences depending on what mod they have installed. Indeed, I found that most of the fun in Oblivion came from how my friends and I could share stories about these different mods we found and tried.

Only time will tell if Skyrim could achieve that same effect, and to what extent. But I really have my hopes high for this :D.

Yeah I liked Morrowind better than Oblivion.

Oblivion sucked because I hated all the stupid randomly spawning gates interfering with side quests etc.

Morrowind had a better storyline as well, in my opinion.

Oblivion felt like a vanilla fantasy rpg world where as Morrowind was darker and more interesting.

I definitely liked the setting of morrowind better. It was a lot more fantastic and interesting imo. Like the striders that you used to get to and from various towns, I was a fan of that. Not to mention the enemies didn't seem so much like generic random world enemies. I mean, they actually seemed like fantastic creatures, not simply vanilla wildlife. I also liked some of the magic spells they had such as levitation and I think a couple others they took out. I also liked the fact that you couldn't just fast travel everywhere. Granted it makes things more convenient, but it also loses a bit of the realism if you want to call it that as well. I thought the mark and return spell was a fairly nifty idea. However, I'm a bit of a graphics whore unfortunately, so after playing oblivion, I found myself unable to go back to morrowind (._.)
