Okay, so, I'm working on ranking up. But, it's not going too well. I was wondering,

What monsters do I need to kill to get to the urgent? and What would be the best gear and weapon for each of them. I'm really good with Lance, Sword and shield, Long Sword, hammer and SOMEWHAT good with Light Bowgun. If I had better gear, I could probably ace it with LBG, just too lazy to get good gear.

Get better gear. Practice on the monsters. there's nothing else you can do.

Take breaks if you get tired of grinding for gear, it helps out a lot.

Yeahhhh.... XD I'll usually leave some details out. Mainly, what I was having problems with is Lavasioth and Copper Blangonga. I don't want to get Ice Fang for Cop. Blang., because I'll have to get a better Fire SnS. And that involves getting a Rath ruby, haha. xD And I don't like lancing Lavasioth, and I wouldn't like Long Sword-ing him. So really, what I'm REALLY asking, is what is a good HR7 Gunner gear/Skill sets? XD

Full Narga X gemmed for speed fire, evade inc, evade +. grab any bowgun you got that fires Water S (preferably the LAo Shan Cannon). That should be more than enough to easily kill Lavasioth even without using the glitch.

as for copper blangonga, same armor set ,grab an Ice S capable gun (to break his fangs). after that normal S your way to a kill.

Narga X is my fave armor btw. It rocks :-)

like everyone else is saying you should really get new gear, it cant be that hard once you develop a routine strategy for fighting something.

As for the copper blagonga i found that GSing it is easier if you know how

I found it easy for me to SnS the Lava fish.. I dunno if it is a good choice or not, but it gets the job done when I do it. Just make sure to bring the weapon he is weak against. Matches go by alot faster in G rank by bringing their weakness instead of just pure raw.. But maybe i'm just doing it wrong?

(That's the Edelweiss Ice Blade. Armor set looks like the Kaiser Crown X, Ceanataur Mail U, Ceanataur Braces U, Ceanataur Tasset Z, and Dark Akantor Hessain. Armor skills are RA+3, Sharpness+1, Sharp Sword)

I'm actually impressed with the video on lancing Lavasioth. I've always lanced Plesioth but I never even thought about using one on Lavasioth. o.o

Arandur's right on the armor set in the Blango vid. Copper Blangonga is very predictable - when it backhops, it's almost always guaranteed to do the huge rock chuck.

On Lavasioth, don't mind the weapon. Use any lance you like since they all handle the same anyway. Darkness should do you just fine since Lavasioth is highly susceptible to paralysis like Plesioth.

For Darkness lance, try:

Chaos Shroom
Hermitaur Mail Z
Obituary/Butterfly Mano X
Hermitaur Tasset Z
Obituary/Butterfly Gamba X

It should give you easy Abnormal Status Atk Up|Guard+1|Evade+1|Guts. Guaranteed to make early G-rank a breeze.

I'm pretty sure you'll need 1xEvade+3, 1xEvade+1. I think you need 4xSurvival+1 (you can obviously replace with 1xSurvival+3 and 1xSurvival+1 when you have these). Jam Guard+ decorations in remaining slots.

Use entrance glitch vs Lavasioth if nothing else works.

Hammer against Lavasioth is pretty easy.
Trip legs.
Pound weakpoint (head or back can't remember)
Dead Lavasioth
