So like, this is probably gonna get moved like all my other posts on a forum, but. I'm HR7, and I've JUST started getting good with lance on my alternate character and I was wondering, what armor/skill set should I look for and what would be the lance I use the MOST. Because it seems I'm always using one weapon for each type.

Also, if you just want to list the best couple skills for lance, I can use Athena's program to find me a good set. :D

Well usually I like to switch between a set that at least has Evade+2, Evade Distance Up or a set with Guard+1, Guard Inc. Just having Evade Distance Up really helps you move around by back-hopping instead of having to sheathe your weapon every time you want to get back into attack range. These are the usual sets I use (courtesy to Athena's A.S.S. for guiding me in the right direction):

Narga Helm X
Narga Mail X
Narga Vambraces X
Narga Tasset X
Golden Hakama Shin
-----------------
7x Artisan Jewel
2x Evade Jewel
1x Jumping Jewel
(Evade+2, Evade Inc, Sharpness+1)

Chaosshroom
Narga Mail X
Narga Vambraces X
Narga Tasset X
Narga Greaves X
-----------------
5x Grinder Jewel
1x Evade Jewel
2x Jumping Jewel
1x Fierce Jewel
(Evade+2, Evade Distance Up, Abnormal Status Up, Sharpnening Skill Increase)

Gravios Helm X
Dark Ukanlos Aegis
Gravios Vambraces X
Gravios Tasset X
Gravios Greaves X
-----------------
1x Wall Jewel
8x Artisan Jewel
1x Stone Wall Jewel
(Health+20, Guard Inc, Guard+1, Sharpness+1)

The first set is good for all around, the second set works well with the Darkness or OuroborosSerpentblade, and the last one I just like to use against something like Gravios since you can pretty much stay under it's belly and tank... especially if it does the sleeping gas you can just guard it + knock allies out of their sleep if they managed to get caught in it. I hope this helps!
We're all part of a larger world, as one of it's countless fragments. All their shapes and colors are unique. It's nice, yet sad...

Ahah, it does, but I haven't made it to HR8 yet. :P I was wanting some good HR7 gear to knock Narga out. XD

Ooh, I didn't know you couldn't get those yet. Well Obituary/Butterfly armor seems to work in conjunction to giving you Evade+ (and some pieces give you points torward Abnormal Status Up if you like those status effects)... I think it depends on your playstyle though. Using Guard+ gear like Gravios or Hermitaur might be safer if you're unsure about evading it's attacks, though keeping up with it might be a little trickier. I've never tried lancing Narga, so I dunno. ._.

I searched up a video real quick on someone using a Lance, and it looks like they might have a mix of Guard+ and Evade+ from their mix of armor, but I think if you follow this strategy you should do fine!

Just don't get too greedy with attacks, make use of the sidestep and back-hop to avoid it's jumps, and thrust away in it's face. xD

My personal recommendations:

As a rule of thumb, attacks that are easy to block are usually terrible to naturally dodge and vice versa. Keep that in mind + some practice = you'll never need evade+ and guard+ anymore.

Constitution+ is nice to have (decrease stamina consumption of block and hop - VERY convenient) but is also not necessary.

Sharpness+1 and/or Sharp Sword is a personally always something you should aim for.

I'm also a big fan of Hunger Negate but that's just me.

Don't use the following:
- Auto-Guard. It'll put you into more trouble than it's worth, and usually causes unintentional stamina rape... Unless of course you use mega juice.
- Evade Inc. Some say it's good for chasing monsters down, but that's what lance charge is for.

HAHA! Thank you! :D I watched a lancing video for NargaCuga and the MOMENT I got Darkness, I tried it on him. Guess what. 20 minutes later and 7 Life Powder later, I have a dead G rank Narga with very little trouble. :D

All you need is darkness really. I've gotten through majority of my g ranked epics thanks to darkness.

That or lost babel.

I only use one lance, that being Rising Tempest. Cos, you know, I don't lance much. At any rate, that's my recommendation.

I know, right? For Rising Tempest, RA+2 is better than AUL. RA+2. AUL. And it's affinity is only -15%, not -30%.
