So anyone up for riddles or mind games?

i have one.

You went traveling along the desert alone. You ended up taking more time than you planned to cross the desert. You suddenly spilled your water jug, and you are getting thirsty. You saw a house near a water-less oasis, and rushed to see what's in it. You saw plentiful of water, and an old man is sitting there. You asked him if you could come in, he said "no". You asked if you can talk to him for a bit and he said "no". You decided to ask him if you could have a drink of water, and he said "no". Apparently, the man only knows "no" as the response to questions.

The thing is, how can you convince the man to let you drink a water if all he says is no? (reverse psychology is prohibited)

ok i have a riddle, only one i can think of off the cuff

theres a room with three lightbulbs in it, and your outside with three switches (you cant see the lightbulbs from where you stand)
by only going in and out of the room once how can you figure out which switch turns on each lightbulb? try and figure it without google as well


theres two solutions, though one is cheating lol

i think ive heard it before... dont you turn on 1 lightbulb for 10 mins till it is heated up, then turn it off and turn another on, then go in and feel for the heat, then you know?
