I have decided recently that the female character model and armors look so much better than the male ones, so I decided to make a new character with the female character. To add a little spin on it, Im going to solo gun the whole game, making sure I get EVERY gunner set craftable. I have gotten to HR 37 on my other character and I found my self using a patchwork set with one or two skills, and a very large hole to dig myself out of if I wanted to start gunning (Plus male armors look like mech suits IMO). Is it worth it to start over?

Edit: Working on my new character, feel free to keep voting. I am crafting EVERY offline Gunner set in the game to add some replay value, more choice in armors, and to make me potentially better at the game. I am farming these monsters with level appropriate equipment and I am ONLY using the bowgun. I am not allowed to do an urgent unless all of the armors from the rank before are achieved. This means I cannot move onto 4 Star when I still have Ludroth and Barroth to get.

Yeah, I'm doing something along the same lines, actually. I have a female character, making a GS only run. Kinda difficult, seeing as I'm stuck at the Guild's Barroth. :D
I never cared about justice and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!

Im really not a fan of the SA. They are one of the best looking weapon classes in the game, and the stats are cool, but fighting with it solo is such a pain

i'm currently on my third char... stated out, and got to hr 100~ish n my first char before getting bored, then took a break... then made a sns only run, which is the most fun i've had for a long time on tri, and have just started a SA only run... of course, once i've beaten ala i start using all other weapons, but it is incredibly fun...

I have a main file at like 230, and subfiles that add up to over 80. Believe me, It is really fun to start over.

I have my glam girl (don't ask), a gunner only, an offline only, and two regular ones, one is like 40, one is about 30

Im working on my new character, and farming qurupeco scales is harder than I thought without access to traps and capture quests giving feathers.

I've been thinking of making a full-support character (SnS, Wide-Range, etc) for playing strictly online with. I'm not sure how people would like me in their team, though. I have a feeling that they'd rather just have another hunter to deal damage. I've also considered gunning, but it's really not my style.

It's not much a worth or not but do you have an goal to reach (self esteem to accomplish something?)
If you have, whats holding you back from doing so then?

Just finished the Qurupeco set. I had to do two runs extra because I needed ONE scale. I'm going to finish the rheno armor tonight (I think I just need pela ores) Then start farming Ludroth. Ima put a checklist on the OP.

New characters in Tri, mmmmm, so good. Can't wait to get back to my Wii.
Unlike you, I did allow my char to climb up ranks unlimitedly while doing intensive low rank farming. No nasty HR point grinding, wich is nice, but on the other side, that strategy wasn't too smart, as I'm on High Rank already and haven't even finished half of the low rank stuff. If you can resist the temptation of the High Rank while still getting your low rank collection, then this is a good way to go, though :) it has the nice side benefit that when done with Low Rank, you can immediately jump into an huge High Rank Collection Fest without having to grind any HR points at all by killing endless Gobbles and Rathalias.

I am keeping online to a minimum so I won't pass my offline progress. I am only using online for easier farming (Farming + Bowgun = Expensive and slow)and for some common materials like honey and spider webs. The low rank collection of armors is long, but In my opinion when I hit high rank all I will have to do is farm a bunch of armor spheres and get select high rank armors. The goal is to have an armor for every method of killing every monster with a bowgun.

Yes and no... having reached HR250 with one character I made a second one to start over in offline. However, I have limited time to play so prefer focusing on the established (primary) character. And I'm pretty sure that second character will never make it online. Just can't be bothered to start grinding and farming all over again...

Always two characters. One boy and one girl, and I can collect the best armors for both characters.

Yes, create another character... BUT IN MH3P!

yeahhhh got ian rubies and Jin jewel!
Luke, I slept with your mother" would have been a better phrase for the script, although Luke probably would have cut Vader's manhood other than the hand.

yeah I think creating another character is a great way to get experince using a weapon that you are not very expreiciened with so you work your way up with it having to learn to fight with a new weapon with weak weapons will make you that much better with it when you get to the tougher monsters and the stronger weapons. I am mainly a switchaxe user but I am not very good with the lance so I created a second character to get experince offline with a lance so when I use it online I won't embarace myself.
