That is what I normally use to gun Grav/Black Grav. Another option is to trade Evade +2 for Evade +1 and Bullet Limit (giving you more Water S).

I like using a LBG that rapid-fires Water S, since you can quickly put it away and run/dive the sweep beam if you need to. Ultimate Lao HBG is also good, especially when you run out of Water S (esp. in the dual Black Grav quest).

Since I've been farming fatty (still lol), I was wondering if there was a better luck set that included the last three skills. Damn desire meter is shorting me freaking face breaks! >_<

You would need 3 weapon slots to go from Good Luck up to Luck Booster while keeping the other skills.

My personal strategy for farming Crimson/White Fatty is to spend one round Bowing to break the face and wings, then just turtle-shell/bomb them to death afterwards.

Guard +1 is not strictly necessary but it lets you block body slams without recoil so you can continue the shell spam.
Against Crimson you can swap Bomber for Sharpening Skill Inc if you don't use many bombs...

Gemmed for guts, gunnery king, ESP, sharp skill Inc. Just purely face upswings, shelling, and wyvernsfire on stagger.

But that's why I've been looking into a good luck set, because I'm used to fattys AI, so I don't need guts anymore.

Well, you could always just swap your SSP for the Ambitious Piercing to get Luck Booster...

Or, perhaps, you might consider:

Velociprey Tasset S (or anything with Torso Inc)
Garuga Greaves X

I already have, but alas I am no match for Japanese diligence and speed. I was well beaten to the punch by masax_mh. His armor sim does basically the same thing (although with less variety of solutions). It's over in the MHP3rd thread.

I figure I may as well post one final update to the MHFU ASS, 3.42b. I noticed it was missing Flat-Footed, and also is now ~3x faster (on multi-core CPUs) due to multi-threading. So yeah.

Most of the time, you wont' end up with low/high rank armor pieces if you're G-rank because G-rank armor is generally much better, with some notable exceptions such as Ceantaur U and Akantor.

You can also sort by rarity or base defence to get solutions with only G-rank pieces at the top.

Btw, if you're concerned about defence, once you beat Ukanlos low and high-rank armor can be upgraded to G-rank defence.

Whoops, very late reply. Nah, my problem is that I can have most of the G-Rank stuff, so I'm simply not interested in armor suggestions that are mixed with low or high rank stuff. Sorting by rarity or base defense still makes high rank stuff appear. I'd prefer an option to avoid it alltogether, that shouldn't be so difficult. Something like:
[ ] Low Rank
[ ] High Rank
[X] G-Rank
