Okay so I've gotten back into the flow again, not back in enough to kill a lao shan lung or anything but enough still kill a high level tiggy or a pink or azure rath with the occasional gold rath(silver is still too annoying). BUt even more annoying is my vast assortment of armor and weapons.

Like I have some I made out of a newbs whim but now realize their complete uselessness like the black armor set.

but anyway I'm a hunter who tends to mix my weapons up based upon the situation presented to me. And here's where I need your help, firstly do I keep the useless stuff, or should I get rid of it or what?
Secondly I have a vast arsenal of weapons but I don't know anyn potential as of now you'd think I were a crab freak. since my strongest armor and weapons are ceanataur U, gemmed with RA+2 and sharp sword, with health negative gemmed out. Killers scythe, and ceanataur head axe.

But anyway onto the long list, mostly of weapons that I need help with.

alrighty from the top I have:
Ravager blade +, red pincer, valkyrie blade (debating on weather I should make obelion and complete my quad rath gs collection), Khezu shock, plesioth crystasword, blue wing, spartacus blade, sentoryu raven, Crimson goat, rath firesword, titernia, sieglinde, tiger agito, black blade, carbalite sword +, agito, poison serpentblade, pickaxe blade, and crystalized tuna. Thats it for gs

Then for the rest:
dark scythe, blango destroyer, blos scythe, wyvern blade blood and verde, dragonwood l sword, cenetarian dagger, mirage finsword, fire dragonsword, black scythe, black katana mk III, Great hornfly saber, true devil slicer, daimyo cutter, enormous ham, kut-ku jaw, bull head hammer, venom monster, dragonhead hammer, crystal nova, shell hammer, black cat stamp, one star silver pot, teddybear, raven torrent, anvilhammer, black hammer, hard bone hammer, green monster, ceanataur head axe, khexu horn, black lute, glass queen, handmade frog, velociprey baloon+, red tail, bone claw lance +, fragrance+, bvlack lance, hellsting, weary finsword, red saber, hi frost edge, gluttons set, cutlass, dual tomahawk +, holy saber, delyne and melynx, bladed edge +, double dragon, black twin daggers, icicle daggers, hi velociprey claws, snow venom +, insect slicer, weathered blades, shooters barrel, raven do, valkyrie heart, bullet storm, lunastras cannon, and teostras artillery.

On not of the bowguns, they are all max leveled.

But anyway can I get some tips on where to take these? what in my collection is actually decent or has potential? Because currently I'm at a total loss. I've just been switching between my presets and my upgraded ceanataur U blademaster and my ceanataur/ Ceanataur u shooters sets. I'm also at hr 6, with two quests until I reach hr 7, but before I do I'm hoping to make a better weapon to go up against akantor with.

lastly, is there a better method to polishing stones or whatever? since doing twelve quests for one rare weapon is a little exhausting.

Depends. I'd probably keep all those weapons. Gives you options when you finally get bored of your default equips.

The following have no G rank upgrades and have no use even at High rank; you can safely sell them:

Blue Wing, Crimson Goat, Rath Firesword, Sieglinde (although I have one in my box as well ), Poison Serpentblade, Crystallized tuna. You can probably also sell the Kut-ku Jaw since you already have all its useful upgrades

From that list, I can tell that you have at least 4 fully upgraded GSes (Crim. Goat, Rath Firesword, Sieglinde, Poison Serpentblade). Therefore, you have the Blade title and you don't need to keep any of them around except for completion's sake.


You have a red saber. Two things you can do with it; Corona or Flame Syphos. My recommendation is both; however, if you don't have the patience, pick one and go for it. Corona's Golden Eclipse ends with [336 raw/520 Fire/0%], while Flame Syphos' Red Divine Flame has [392 raw/300 Fire/-15%]. At the very end, Red Divine Flame is better, but Corona line outdoes it until then.

You have an Anvil Hammer. Make Onslaught Hammer, it's not much worse than the Diablos Chaos Broker. See below.

You have a Hard Bone Hammer. You can make Hard Bone Hammer+, then Diablos Hammer, then Diablos Chaos Broker. IIRC, DCB is the strongest hammer at HR6, but Onslaught can upgrade twice at HR7. The Juggernaut (made from Onslaught Hammer) will last you one or two ranks, until you make Crow Torrent (HR8, from Raven Torrent), DCO (HR9, from DCB) or Magnitude (HR9, you'll see Desert Cone at HR8).

If you can't kill Diablos, try pellet spamming its tail. Look for mazereon's Bowgun Compendium for a more detailed guide.


Lastly, the weapon trees will help you loads. Go have a gander at them. If you still need advice, come back here and we'll see what to do.

If you play online, I say keep even the low/high rank weapons that do not have G-rank upgrades. It's always nice to be able to play with anyone regardless of their rank and not end up ruining the fun for them (rank-up carry).

I think you'll only really need one raw weapon of each class, of each rank. For example, you can play with Low-rank people using Sieglinde or Bull Tusk Hammer, or High rank people using True Dragon's Jaw or Siegmund, or Hi Velociprey Claws.
