Diablos cutting weakness is the tail stub so try aiming for that. Since you can't really reach it with a DS try attacking their legs first and trip them up, then aim for the tail.

At any rate, try gunning with Pellet Spam. I really cannot be bothered to type it up again - I've typed this up four or five times now, I think, so look at mazereon's Bowgun Compendium. It's linked at the MHFU Guides section and just do that. Easy Diablos death.

Avoid getting hit > Getting hits in
Point being, if you're getting thrashed, you're either too greedy, or haven't figured out how to dodge attacks.
(I still get too greedy from time to time)

I'm no dual sword expert, but my experience with the weapon is like this. Don't go for the weak spot - go for where you can safely attack and dodge.
A perfect example is the black gravios. Their weak spot is the tummy, but if you go for the tummy with a short ranged weapon.... your life expectancy is about 10 minutes, after using all your pots. If you go for the wings (with a water weapon), you can land all sorts of goody hits (even though it isn't their weak spot), and do decent damage, and most importantly, dodge the attacks.
As for tigrex, I'm not sure. I certainly wouldn't be going for the head as that's the business end of the monster, and the welcome mat to pain.
Either tail or front arms is what I'd focus on. I wouldn't stay in front of him....
not with dual swords....
i would usually agree with that.
but tigrex takes a huge ammount of damage to the face, so much so that just hitting the face whenever possible and timing flinches correctly just demolishes him. but you WILL get hit a bit. for example, i killed hr9 tiggy with divine power saws using this tactic but quite often i found myself mistiming the flinch and getting lolcharged. but as long as you aren't TOO greedy/careless it's a fairly easy fight.
