Tangling With The Tigrex Nooby Dual Swordsman Seeking Advice!

I'm using Full Hermitaur (I know, I know, skills>defense, but it's just too friggin quick!) and the Shogun Ceantaur DS. I also have a Bull Head Hammer I'm OK with.
Mazereon's Dual Sword compendium was helpful, but if anyone has more advice, please post.
Thank you,
Hippoman

He's weak to thunder, so go with whatever the best bow you can make that has thunder element.

But yes get the thunder duals, Prototype power saws, made via odyssey.
And don't get greedy with hits else you get the lolcharge.
Lolcharge

Try sticking to one side, so he always turns to look. Attack say, the back, and when Tiggy turns, move with 'im. Stay close, never distance yourself, else the lolcharge comes into play.
Oh shi- this is the Unite thread. I thought it was P3.
I suggest GS. Tiggy gives lots of oppurtunities to get a Triple Charge on his head, which, with the right blade, causes auto-flinch, giving you enough time to get out of the way.
Which Absolute Power are you on? I assume the offline elder? If so, I suggest using either Spartacus Blade or Ravager+. Whichever is available. ...the prior needs Tiggy tails though.

Don't be greedy with your hits and when he goes into rage mode you should only attack him when he taunts (if you want to be safe). He taunts after he jumps across the area twice.
The Khezu Bow is a good choice of bow at your level if you connect all the arrows with the Tigrex.

This video, courtesy mazereon, should help... but you've probably already seen it.
Since you're using the Ceanataur DS, I'll assume Bladed Edge+ which is more than enough to deal with a pesky Tigrex. Also going to assume that this is Elder 4* Urgent Absolute Power... meaning that you can get Butterfly/Obituary armor. If I'm not wrong, the main ingredient is Hercudrome, which you can get from Volcano Gathering Area 2 Bug point.
To the actual fight. If you have Power/Mega Juices, you can bring them, but at Elder 4* it's best not to rely on them... yet. Stand at the end of his tail, and when he turns to face you, get in one Tri hit on his face and roll right. If he charges, he should lift up his arm and put it behind you, and miss you completely. Run after him. If he spins, press the analog stick down and roll downwards (I call this rolling out). If he tosses rocks, you shouldn't be hit where you're standing, so Tri x2 on his head. If he roars, you can roll through it even without Evade+, but it's a lot easier with. Roll into the roar and attack his head as it comes down. If he jumps, pray for luck
When he rages, if you're not juiced up, it's best to sheathe your weapon and snipe his head with the lunge when he spins. Don't bother attacking him otherwise.
With these tactics, only the jump should ever hit you. I hate that jump. It's ridiculously difficult for me to dodge. If anyone has any tactics on dodging it, feel free to speak up.

By jump do you mean the one where the Tigrex jumps across the area and taunts after jumping twice in a row when he's raged?
If you circle around him and move away from him when you've finished attacking the jump shouldn't be too hard. Attacking him too much will leave you too less time to move away to evade the attack.

Avoid getting hit > Getting hits in
Point being, if you're getting thrashed, you're either too greedy, or haven't figured out how to dodge attacks.
(I still get too greedy from time to time)

I'm no dual sword expert, but my experience with the weapon is like this. Don't go for the weak spot - go for where you can safely attack and dodge.
A perfect example is the black gravios. Their weak spot is the tummy, but if you go for the tummy with a short ranged weapon.... your life expectancy is about 10 minutes, after using all your pots. If you go for the wings (with a water weapon), you can land all sorts of goody hits (even though it isn't their weak spot), and do decent damage, and most importantly, dodge the attacks.
As for tigrex, I'm not sure. I certainly wouldn't be going for the head as that's the business end of the monster, and the welcome mat to pain.
Either tail or front arms is what I'd focus on. I wouldn't stay in front of him....
not with dual swords....

I DSed Black Gravios once, as part of Pride on the Line. It took me about 25 minutes, used up all my pots, plus the ones I gathered and carved from his tail... OF COURSE I WAS DANCING THE TUMMY. I was using Raw duals since it was a Marathon, so I had to go for the tummy or time out. Killed the Narga in 7 minutes without getting hit, by the way.

Time the stagger on the last hit of the DD. You get bonus hits in after the DD if you get it right too.
