Its funny how much of what's posted I detest. (no offense, honestly. You likely hate my noise, too)

Can't pick one fav (no justice there) so some of what I'm listening to right now:
Elysia
Broken Hope
Parkway Drive
Against All Authority
The Ghost Inside
Obituary
Satan's Warriors (lolwut)
Rise Against
Morpheus Descends
Fight Everyone

I'm very much surprised that most people here aren't into more underground music, aside from above poster.
For me:

The Blood Brothers. My spazzy #1.
HORSE the band What I love about these guys is that they're never gimmicky, even though critics call them "nintendocore."
P.O.S. I like hip-hop too.
Rites of Spring I can't tell you how many times these guys gave me manly tears.
Mono I used to be into visual-kei (I do love Rentrer en soi) but there's more to Japanese rock than that (and Mono proves it).

I also have a deep passion for video game music, as well as low-fi recordings. I like atonal music, too (like from HEALTH to Schoenberg), as well as significantly softer stuff (like from Phillip Glass to Regina Spector).
Also see La Quiete (hardcore), Kodan Armada (hardcore), Circle Takes the Square (hardcore), Fugazi (punk), Magnolius (hip-hop), flashygoodness (8-bit), and Joel Harrison (the jazz one, not the pop one). If you want.

The Pillows, Journey, The Eagles, (Anything VGM, MGMT, Masato Kouda, and a few Japanese bands... (getting tired of songs and bands being known for the anime they sing for)

Lotta people can't handle 'underground'. And HORSE can be considered nintendocore. But no band can be tied to one genre. That would make life 'canned and bland in the Fatherland'.
