Total Noob
+10 Suckery

Your deaths do not reduce the reward money from a quest or consume an attempt, increases the damage dealt by Hammer superpound, Lance charge, Long Sword spirit blade, Pellet S and Clust S and makes your teammates immune to friendly fire from your attacks.

In exchange for these effects, you cannot carve and you do not receive money, rewards or HR points upon completing a quest.

This skill is gained upon wearing any armor set that doesn't have any positive skills, or an armor whose skill(s) are negated by equipped weapon. EG: You gain this skill unless you have at least 1 useful skill (Autotracker, Hunger Negate, Speed Sharpening) OR if you wear a guard set and use LS

Alchemist
Pseintist

+10/-10 The Arts

The first guarantees 100% success for all combos and raises how many of every item you can combine by 5. The latter drops your chance to 50% no matter what, and doesn't let you hold A to rapid combine. You will need to leave the menu and bring it back up to combine again.

/kneeslapper Get it, Pseudo Scientist = Pseintist?

o-o,How about skills that activate depending on your weapon.Gives some sort of boost while equipped with the weapon.

Knight-SnS

Berzerker- GS

Skullcrusher-Hammer

Lancer-Lance

Headchopper-SA

Samurai-LS

Some Others...

Sparring Immunity-Grants extra defense and resistance to a certain monster whenever you're wearing a full set of that monster's armor.

Sparring Advantage-Increases damage against a monster while using a weapon made from that monster's parts.

Mirror Shield-Allows you to block certain projectile-based attacks, provided your weapon can block, although it does take much more stamina to reflect,so this won't activate unless you have high stamina.

Butchering-Allows you to "break" monster body parts with less hits/damage.

Electric Hands-Allows you to set up Shock traps without having one in your inventory.Takes more time to set up than a normal trap, and consumes stamina.

Hole Digger-Same thing as Electric hands, but instead uses pitfall traps.

Brick Wall Shield-Similar to Mirror Shield, this allows you stop a monster in their tracks by block when they are using an attack that makes them move forward (such as charging). However, the monster takes no damage, and this consumes more stamina than regular blocking.
"The Best Defense is balanced" SnS FTW!

Here's one -

Parry - +10 Allows all standard attacks to be be parried with non-shield weapons. +15 Allows heavy attacks to be parried by non-shield weapons (as guard up)*. If the parry makes contact with the monster it would cause the same damage as a bounced attack - same animation as well. You would be able to parry screams. You would receive the same guard and sharpness damage as a great sword when it blocks. Parry Gems would have negative to guard+ skill.

The trick here is that only 1 particular move can be used to parry and it requires timing similar to evasion to actually pull it off.

Weapon Parry moves -
LS - evasion slashes (x+a)
HM - lvl 1 charge attack
SA - axe upper-cut

(the LS move is a natural... the others are a little more awkward)

* Alternatively this skill could stack with Guard + and Guard Up and require +15 to activate like handicraft, evade inc, or awaken. For pro's this would be pretty powerful.

I imagine the armor set of some unknown creature would have a skill set like - Razor Sharp, Parry, Constitution, and a hefty negative in Guard+.

Edited several times for balance and mechanics.

"Wrestle" - Allows you to perform a special move that stops a charging monster in it's tracks. With weapon sheathed, dash head-on at the charging monster and the two of you will collide into a deadlock for a few seconds as long as you hold the R-Button. You can end the deadlock early by releasing R and tossing the monster aside. If your Deadlock time runs out, YOU get thrown to the side by the monster, instead (This costs you a small chunk of HP, which is still significantly less than if you had been hit by the charge instead).

Quote

10pts "Lightweight" - Can wrestle some monsters for up to 5 seconds.
15pts "Heavyweight" - Can wrestle with supersize monsters for up to 5 seconds. (10 on regular monsters)
20pts "Champion" - Can wrestle monsters all sizes up to 10 seconds.

Only monsters with specific charging-abilities will be effected, such as Diablos, Barroth, Gravios, etc.
Monsters like Barroth, Basarios, Daimyo Hermitaur, etc... will be considered "smaller" monsters to this skill.
You'll need Wrestle +15 or more in order to wrestle the larger ones like Gravios and Diablos.

"Shield Technique" - Enhances your ability to use the shield.

Quote

10pts "Defense Enthusiast" - Decreases amount of time getting into Guard Stance after attacks.
15pts "Master Guardian" - Decreases amount of time getting in AND out of Guard Stance.

This would be my absolute favorite skill if it ever existed, right here.
