so it's really hard to find a fellow hunter to do a quest together

and my internet speed not allowing me to try kai as well, so... yeah, made me really really hard to find someone to play together
how's it here? Is mhp 3rd still had many active hunter here?

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the forum, but I've been playing Monster Hunter on and off for about 3-4 years now.
The first time I played MH was on a demo disc which came with Devil May Cry 3, and that was the very first game on PS2.

When I really got into Monster Hunter though was with Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, in which I had gotten up to the final High Rank hunter rank (HR9? Just before the G levels anyway) before my save got corrupted by me updating my firmware. I've since recovered it, but haven't got back into it as of yet.
Nowadays I'm playing MH Portable 3rd, and have been having a blast. Me and my brother started playing it at the same time and have gotten right up to the Urgent Quest for fighting the Amatsumagatsuchi in the Guild Hall, but have been putting it off for a long time after our first attempt
I also played Tri for a bit, but I took a dislike to it because of the reduced weapon classes.

I mostly prefer using Gunlances, but there isn't very much variety in them in MHP3rd, so I've got a couple of longswords and hammers to help fill in the gaps. I also use lances, but if possible I'd rather avoid them as I haven't quite got my head around their proper use yet. Only time I used one seriously was against that massive Hapurubokka for the MGS download quest.

Here's my Guild Card. I hadn't figured out how to get English letters when putting my name in, so who knows what my name actually is...


I hope to stick around for a bit!

I've never really been into heavy bowguns. Back in Freedom Unite I would frequently use LBG or Bows, but now the only ranged weapon I use are bows, and even then I don't use them often
Although I must say, the crouch-fire ability introduced in 3rd does have me intrigued!

Yes, i just tried monster hunter not too long ago, even though it's already been released for around one year ago for the mhp 3rd, if i'm not mistaken

and that's also a reason, why it's really hard for me to find another hunter here, since most of them already 'retired'...
even if i'm able to hunt together using the wlan on the psp, i don't have anyone around that also play mh, or... at least still play mh

hmm but my internet speed here is really not able to, since... if i tried to watch a 4-min youtube video, it will take around 10 min or more to buffer it
remembering that, online play is not an option
i actually able to upgrade my internet to a better one with better speed, but since i actually very rarely need a fast connection, i'd rather save the money
